... but I've been spending more and more of my sports-watching time on the Leafs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up on basketball. I've seen crappier Raptors teams and kept watching them and bitching about them. But for the first time since 2002 (before the Leafs began their resistance against the direction of the game), I've found this team interesting. They've devoted themselves to building a team properly. They've cleaned up the upper management, to a certain extent. And there are young players in our system that I've enjoyed following/rotting for (mainly Luke Schenn and Grabovski). Its reinvigorated my interest in the first sport I really got into. So yea, I'll probably posting more in the uninhabited Maple Leafs forum (located in the depths of the deserted NHL section). If there are any other Leafs fans here, feel free to check that forum once in a while too.
My two favourite teams are defending champs(Steelers and Jayhawks) and the other is doing excellent (Flyers) so it is hard for me to keep up with the Raps.
I'm not gonna sit here and type to you all my devotion to the Leafs. I want to see them do well, and if they do, I won't be telling everyone I told them so. I follow the team, on and off. I read about them, but I don't watch them much. I'm sticking to Raptors ball and soon the Jays. But, Go Leafs Go, and I hope they can make the playoffs.
