Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season This year has been Tim's worse, possibly worse than his rookie year. While he is still the team leader, and they win games like mad, is his career on the decline, or is this a one season deal?I've read this is because of illness and injury, but it's been the whole year. He's playing worse than ever before. Yet personally, I still believe this is just an off year, and he will bounce back in the Playoffs and next year with solid 23 and 10 averages. Is this just a crap year, or is TD's career on a decline at this stage?
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season Don't worry about it. He hasn't needed to put up the numbers with Tony and Manu really proving to be stars, and with that deeeeeeeeeeeeeep bench. If they are in trouble in the playoffs, he can easily turn it on for 30/12-15 and carry that team. He is still be the go-to guy, and will be for next few years. So no, he is not on decline.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season Yeah I think he is just having an off year with injuries and stuff. He'll be back next year...Just like Mac.BTW nice to see you back.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season How is he having a mediocre season? The Spurs have cut his minutes from 38 to 34 and Tony Parker and Manu are taking on more of the scoring load...I don't think he's having a mediocre season.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season OMFG, HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT? HE'S SUFFERING FROM F'N PLANTAR FASCIITIS. None of you guys understand how much it effects you're game. Kobe pre allstar last season whilst suffering from that ailment he shot 42%. After he recovered he shot 46%.I can't wait untill when the real timmy is back.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season Well he's getting old. He still brings it on defense and brings lots of leadership. He's still a valuable player.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season He is a playoff performer and he's letting Parker get most of the spotlight. He does not care about his stats as long as there winning.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season I think it is because he has to take a back seat to TP who is just splitting defenses' apart. Tim Duncan doesn't get as many shots as he usually does. But you are right, his blocks and rebounds have been down the past 2 seasons and he is shooting .480 from the field which isn't Tim Duncan like.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season no NBA player wants to lose spotlight. I think Duncan is seeing his skills decline, much like Shaq, but he still is ,like shaq, and impact player. He has not yet experienced the downfall of shaq, but i belive as the years go by, he won't be a dominat force, but still an impact player.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season Tim Duncan is no longer a dominant force but a great role player. I think putting bigs on him gives him trouble since he is not as fast as he used to be and their length bothers him.

Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season How can a guy leading his team to 3 <Censored> titles and him being named 2005 Finals MVP be a 'great role player'? So I guess Shaq is a great role player now that he's declining, huh?
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season He is obviously declining, anyone who says he isnt hasnt watched him, because not only are his numbers dropping but teams have been dominating the paint of the spurs, which i've never seen happen in my lifetime. Dominant Spurs in the post have been their tradition for a while, and his defense has taken a huge hit. I would barely consider him a third-teamer right now, but he'll likely win 1st team even though for once he finally doesnt deserve it.
Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season I stick with Melo. Last year he was a 20 and 10 guy, led his team to the Finals winning a Finals MVP. Now he's injured with an injury that is quite serious, and he's on the decline? I made the topic cause I've heard people say he's on the decline, but when you win a Finals MVP award, have an injury the next year and still average 19 and 11, youa ren't on the decline

Re: Tim Duncan's Mediocre Season He doesnt have a good season cuz of his injury and his minutes. But once its playoff time he will be back to playing 38-44 min.
