... or has Steve Blake improved his court vision and made a number of nice passes since coming back from his injury?
I think all the games since he has come back it seems like he has better court vision or I just didn't realize how good of vision he has.
They been pushing the ball up the floor the past 2 games rather than bring it up and give it to Roy. That's the way they should always play so that they can get easy baskets. I've been surprised by some of Blakess passes. I hope he and the team keep running.
Nice thought but I don't think that after 29 years of being Steve Blake, he can just come back after 13 or 14 games out and flip some "court vision" switch and become Steve Nash.
Remember when Blake took the ball out of bounds in the 1st quarter and threw a pass way ahead to a streaking LMA for a dunk? It wasn't an ally-oop but it was close. That kind of pushing the ball is something I'm not used to seeing. It definitely makes it enjoyable to watch the games.
I think it's a combo of a tweaked offensive philosophy and perhaps more confidence from teammates in him. They got to experience the mediocre point play of Sergio and Bayless (I love Bayless, and Sergio is decent on offense, but they both are still lacking in the PG department) and now have that much more respect and confidence in Blake, and then I think that's reciprocated by him looking for his teammates who are having more confidence in him. Anyway, I didn't get to see the first quarter, but I'll be checking out some highlights here soon.
If you sat and watchd Sergio objectively for a few weeks you'd improve too. Steve never stops learning and improving.
Isn't it obvious what's going on here? That's NOT STEVE BLAKE! Pritchard managed to trade Blake for CP3 after all, but they switched bodies so that the NO fans don't find out right away. barfo
1. blazers are running more 2. contract year with 2 pg's behind him that show they want the job this does not diminish the fact that he is indeed playing very well!
It's not just you - I was thinking that last game, when he did that bounce pass to Roy cutting from the corner. Hope he can keep it up - this running is fun to watch, and, as I saw watching the Wolves nearly beat the Lakers (who got away with so many over the backs and hacks it wasn't funny) that's the way to actually beat the Lakers - their transition defense is pretty lousy. Will it last when Oden comes back, though? Final thought: Blake did not deserve all of those assists. One of them Outlaw faked, dribbled all the way from the three point line and dunked. That certainly wouldn't be an assist anywhere outside of the US.
