I never seem to watch movies, especially in the theater. Lots of movies look good, but I don't know why I just never watch that many.

I do watch a decent amount of TV though. There are some good shows out there.

i keep TV on as background noise. sometimes on planes I don't watch the movies even if I have nothing to do...get too involved into them and crap. don't like following the plot.

I leave TV on as background sometimes.....but just hooked up Sirius today so that might go bye bye!

Yes, Im virtually forced to watched movies because my roomie has netflix. Before that I would go to the movies maybe once a year.

    Watched Darknight a month ago
Matrix a year ago (yes, for the first time)
    I thought Ironman was lame

I used to have netflix but realized I kept movies past 30 days without watching them so I cancelled.

I watch a ton of movies and up until the last few months almost no tv. Most of the TV shows I've been watching lately are from hbo and showtime.

I don't watch movies often, I can't even remember the last time I was in a theater, but if there's a movie on TV that looks good I might watch it.

I enjoy watching movies, but I rarely do. Like you, had Netflix and let the movies sit around unwatched.
I don't watch TV either, for more or less the same reasons, whatever they are.

I don't seem to have the attention span for movies these days. I guess the Internet ruined my attention the span, as I find myself switching around between things constantly. Sometimes I watch movies, but it's pretty rare. Like 1-2 per year.

TV is pretty rare, too. I mostly watch an occasional show on History channel or the Science channel. But even that is much more rare these days. When I was younger, I used to watch tons of TV.

The only movie I watched in the theater over the past year was The Dark Night. Getting to the theater is impossible with 4- and 5-year old girls. Of course, we watch tons of Blu-Ray movies on the 46" Sony LCD, and it doesn't cost us $30 each time.

It drives my wife nuts, but one of the first things I want to know about of movie is its length. Anything over 2 hours and it had better be damn good, because if I don't like a movie I'll literally turn it off after 20 minutes.

Not very often. When I do go to watch a new movie, 99% of the time it will be because it has the same actors/producers and shit from another movie I liked (i.e. saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall only because I loved Knocked Up, Superbad and 40YO Virgin, otherwise I would have never bothered). And every time I do go to watch one of those, its in the theater.

Very very rarely do I go to a movie, and nearly always when someone drags me.

I think it was in about 1988 or so that a friend told me she and I were the only two political people in the world who had not seen Kiss of the Spider Woman. In around 1995 someone I just met who had no idea what to suggest for a date took me to a double feature; the first was OK, the second stunk, the relationship did not last. A year or two later a friend dragged me out to Jurassic Park and I drove him nuts pointing out all the scientific inaccuracies. Yes, I know it's science fiction, but even science fiction should know the difference between reptiles and amphibians!

The only movie I actually went to of my own accord in about the last 20 years was Brokeback Mountain. For fairly obvious reasons.

I usually have TV on as background to using the computer; I can type and watch or listen as I type. This behavior has changed my tastes in TV even in the last year or two... I don't like Heroes as much because they have Japanese speakers with subtitles for chunks of the show, and it's more difficult to follow along in spite of the two years I studied the language. Of course, it might just be because Heroes is significantly worse than it was a couple of years ago, too.

As for movies... I enjoy watching them on DVD at home. They are breaks I take from everything else (including the computer) and I usually watch them with people.

Going to the movies? I rarely do it. Matinees with friends or actual evening/night shows occasionally with chicks, although they make pretty cliche and sometimes boring dates when you're just getting to know a person.

I go to the movies about once a week. At home I watch them too.

    I probably see 100 movies a year.
