Yeah, he was pretty ridiculous. Guess that happens when you're on fire. Jamal Crawford had a game like that a few years ago. He hit 16 straight shots, many of them 3-pointers.

I could only imagine being Mike Brown as he was taking some of those shots.

LeBron's shot is a joke. Ugly form and inconsistent release point. Fluke!

I don't see how you can say that was a fluke to be honest. LeBron is probably the best basketball player in the world, and he just caught fire. I guess you can chalk up Kobe's 81, Wilt's 100 and the rest as flukes if that 3 minute stretch is going to count as a fluke too.

Well he's a bad three point shooter and he shot 8/11 from the arc, it is an interesting accusation. If he had mostly bulldozed his way to the line for 16 points in 3 minutes I don't think anyone would be questioning that. Kobe has I think 4-5 50 point games in three quarters, 80 was never unthinkable imo, especially after the Mavs game.

Ugly shot but it was working for him. He was on fire. Reminded me of Kobe right after we traded Shaq.

LeBron has pretty awful form on his jumper...but when you're hot, you're hot. And quite frankly, he was absolutely on fire that game.

Kobe's 81 was a fluke. Wilt's 100 was a fluke too. Anytime you score more than 60 points, more than individual basketball skill factors into the point total.

But when a player like LeBron shoots like that from two or three steps back, its fluke. The reason he doesn't do this more often is because he knows he simply got hot that night.

By the way, getting hot = fluke. You can't control that feeling.

No way that Kobe's 81 and Wilt's 100 were flukes! Sure, they don't score that much on a nightly basis. But to be able to get hot and score that much you have to be extremely talented first. Also, they probably don't have the opportunity to score that much because basketball is a team sport. But if Kobe's teammates gave him the ball every possession in every game... I think he would be able to score that much (60+) consistently.

Now if somebody like... Sasha Vujajic scores 60+ then that is the Fluke!

Wilts 100 a fluke!? KOBE'S 81 A FLUKE?! your crazy man, when you get hot it does not mean you are fluking it at all, it means that youve entered a mind state that can controll your body to execute winning shots at a very highly succesful rate, jordan possesed this ability, it is very similar to zen buddhism, something that phil has shared with both mj and kobe alike, before kobe's 81 phil instructed him on how to use this technique whilst in a game, the same way he taught mj. wilt im sure too possesed this ability to rise his game above the usual level, its all to do with concentration and positive thought, some players may not realize they too do it but they do, this is the nba, and there isnt much fluking involved, these are professionals man.

The 81 and 100 are sorta flukes when you consider that the team was intent on having the one guy score so many points instead of playing team ball and trying to win the normal way they do. It still takes a ton of skill to score that many when the opponents know what's going on and try to stop it.
