They may never make the playoffs, but so long as they give it a good effort, it'll still be fun, eh? So, win!
i don't know if that's what he was referring to at the time but the blazers still have the full mid level exception to use on free agents this season. that means if they'd like to, they can offer more money than anyone except the cavs(who also have the entire mid level remaining) to players still out there as free agents or veterans who negotiate buyouts.
What level would that be? From worst team in the NBA to 50-win team in less than three seasons with the youngest playing rotation in the league? I'll take it.
Yeah I think he meant the trade exception and sounded confused when he wasn't getting the answer he was looking for. Oh well... poor Jay Allen.
Crap, MIXUM's Right! Appears that Oden will be out all week. "May" be back for Minny, but........ Heard on Courtside.
I think you're right. I think Jay was talking about the MLE for this season. However, KP went on talking about next year's, I think. Then, Jay chose not to call him on it.

Your negatively doesn't bother me, but I want to understand something... You are upset that KP didn't pull trigger on one of the deals that were rumored for a SF. And you upset because, since we didn't make one of the rumored deals, we won't be able to guard Yao and Duncan. Ok, got it.
I think we can all safely assume that KP will not make any large deals during the season. What I am waiting for is to see what happens, if anything, this off season. I was disappointed at the time that no deal was made, mostly because I am not sure if Portland really can afford to wait as long as KP wants to. It's as big a gamble as making a deal. I just have to remind myself that 4 years ago Portland was completely unwatchable. Now the games are fun to watch and attend. Even if they don't win a title, this team will always be a favorite of mine, just like the Drexler teams were.
Just a minor clarification: KP was going to trade Zach for Frye + cap space At the last minute, Tom Penn pointed out that if we also sent Freddy Jones, we could get a trade exception which is what the Suns were looking for. We have not realized any benefit to receiving said cap space, yet.
