According to this: http://www.basketball-reference.com/blog/?p=1351 So apparently Lebron, CP3, Wade, Ginobli, Duncan, and Roy are better than Kobe. Following immediately after Kobe, 8th best player in the league, is AK-47. And Ronny Turiaf > KG, Pierce. Damn we shouldn't have let him go. Who are the people who come up with these rankings? Just wondering, is this BG7?
You're welcome. It was an eye opener for me. We overrate Kobe greatly. I shall now urge Mitch to trade him for Manu Ginobli. pg: Fisher sg: Ginobli sf: Walton pf: Gasol c: Bynum Dynasty.
True. All signs point to BG7. He made a smart move by not including Gordon as the #1 player. Unfortunately for him, we are not idiots.
He's right, Kobe is number 6, clearly better than 7. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holl.../insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics
Oh hey man, I think it is about time you explained to us lower beings how PER is calculated, in normal people's terms I mean.
I actually agree with Thrilla. I think stats are overrated for the most part. I think it is common sense when a player is better than another player. You can tell by the way they play and their impact of the game, stats = overrated.
Stats are a good starting point, but Hollinger made a joke of himself last season after Kobe became the top PER player with his old formula. He decided to tweak the formula to drop Kobe down to #3 behind LeBron and Paul.
