<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ESPN - The Dolphins decided to stop waiting for Chargers quarterback Drew Brees to lower his contract demands and opted to give the Vikings a second-round choice to acquire quarterback Daunte Culpepper.Culpepper had been talking to the Dolphins for the past week, expressing his desire to be with the Dolphins along with showing a willingness to rework his contract to fit into the Dolphins salary cap. Contract talks between the Dolphins and Brees have been stalled because the Saints had more money and more guarantees on the table from the Saints.Vikings coach Brad Childress said recently Culpepper is on schedule in his rehab from surgery in which he tore three knee ligaments after having a trainer fly to Florida to meet with Culpepper</div>http://www.realgmfootball.com/src_wiretap_..._sent_to_miami/

We had to do this, Brees was asking for way too much money and no good QB's are gonna fallto us in the draft. If Culpepper recovers nicely from his injury this should turn out to be a great trade. I heard he's willing to restructure his contract too so that should help. Oh well, have fun losing in New Orleans, Drew...

Wow, nice pickup bu the Phins. The Dolphins should be an 6-10 win team if Culpepp can stay healthy. I guess the Vikings management was pissing him off.

So you're saying we're gonna do worse than last season, are you kidding me. In my opinion, we have a legit shot at making the playoffs especially if Culpepper can get back to his old self. We'll have one of the most explosive offenses in the league with Culpepper, Chambers, Brown, and McMichael. All we have is a few holes to fill at DB and DT which we could do in FA along with the draft. No way we're a 6-10 team.

I was just saying that we didn't have much of a choice, but to go after Culpepper, because of Brees' demands.

I dunno, they have some nice recievers down in Miami, it might work out. Culpepper makes a lot mistakes though, maybe Saban can make something happen.

Saints should be okay in the future, but you can't expect them to be anything special this year.

If Daunte plays like he can, this Miami team will be as scary as anyone in the NFL. If he comes out and plays like a retarded dog (Last year_ then this Miami team could still make the playoffs. Going to be exciting either way

And I guranteed he was coming to Baltimore, I hope we get someone though so he's off the market, if hes back in his old shape of the randy moss days I see them possibly making superbowl, it also depends on if their old defense holds up.

With Daunte Culpepper throwin it up to Chambers, it'll be like the old Pep-Moss days. They got him for a serious bargain. Culpepper is worth way more than a future 2nd round pick.

I'm not quite sure this is a great move for either side, but definately more beneficial to the dolphins. with cpepp they may be able to pull a fast one on new england and take the division title if he gets another threat at WR for him to throw to, barring the off-season moves the pats make. Its really a shame how it worked out, cpepp wanted out and they couldnt get too much for him but still a 2nd round pick isnt necessarily a big time steal. cpepp's health is still a MAJOR issue, and there is always that possibility that maybe he isnt so good without a moss type player around him.
