    Denver has lost 3 in a row, and their schedule looks tough for the next few games:
    ATL
    LAL
    @IND
    @DET
    POR
    @UTAH

    We're only 1 game back from them now.

    Go Blazers!!

    I know there are over 20 games left . . . but tomorrow is a huge game.

    I, for one, am very happy to see more and more people looking at the POSITIVE and saying good things about the team instead of a lot the other negative nagging that happens so much here.

    Denver certainly is struggling at this point and we may even pass them momentarily but I don't think we win the Division this year (I hope so but don't think so). Right now, I'd be ecstatic with home court advantage where we stand. Winning the Division would be a large, large bonus.

    Meh, I just don't see it as huge other than the team competing and not getting blown out. It's not the end of the world if the team loses tomorrow night, and if they win, what a bonus.

    Two teams on winning streaks separated by half a game . . . winner will be in the 4th position and front runner for home court advantage.

    Man if the Blazer can pull this win out tommorow . . . serious statement to the rest of the western conference playoff teams, especially Houston.

    We win tomorrow. San Antonio loses to Dallas tomorrow.
    We beat San Antonio.

    We're 1/2 game behind for No. 2 seed!

    Little win streaks tend to have this effect -- I just try to enjoy it while it lasts.

    And in the end, Vince always gets screwed by the good guys. So what's your point?

    Texas has never been easy for the Blazers. I will be happy leaving here 1-1.

    Houston is favored by 5.
    Heres some scary stats; Last time Houston lost at home was 95-93 against Phil on January 28,2009 and Lakers on January 13th. Besides that they are tough at home in the month of February not losing yet.

    Just to clairify since we are getting closer to the end of the year...

    What EXACTLY would qualify as a good year for you this year? Playoffs? 2nd round? 3 round? Honest question.

    I think it may be tougher to stay ahead of Utah, than to catch Denver. I'm just happy we're in the running!

    We would have to pick up a couple fantastic road wins and Denver would have to lose a couple home games for this to happen. The schedule is not favorable to us. Denver coughed up two though that I thought they would win. Who knows.

    Nene is out for about a week, so that could help us a little.

    Even thought the last couple of victories were against bad teams, they can still work towards building some confidence and continuity. What I am looking for is to see if Portland carries some of that forward into this game.

    I think a lot can be said about the distraction that the trade deadline had on this young team AND, subsequently, the vote of confidence management gave to the guys on the roster by standing pat (Ruffin doesn't really count). I think the combination of these two things will translate into some good wins and us finishing this season strong. The Houston game tonight is big and I think we can win it. I think we lose in SA but tonight, we can win!!!
