I would agree Kobe is playing MVP ball this year. I don't know how people don't have him as the MVP favorite. He has lead us to wins over Boston x2 and Cleveland x2, and his stats are still impressive. If he won it last year, he fucking deserves it this year too.

I agree that Bryant deserves the MVP. If I'm correct, the Lakers are the only team in the NBA with multiple wins against Cleveland and Boston...they're the only to beat Cleveland IN Cleveland...they've snapped two long Boston winning streaks...they have the best road record in the league...couple all this with the fact that he's played his best since Bynum went down.

However...I'm sure it'll go to LeBrick. The media is all over his nuts, so if he didn't win it, I'd be shocked. I think, if Cleveland wins the top seed out East, LeBrick is guaranteed the MVP.

I think I agree with you guys too. It'd be stupid if they don't give him the MVP because of something superficial, like a drop of 0.7 ppg. He's been just as productive as last season, and his team looks even stronger this year under his leadership.

Last year, it seemed like more of a career achievement award for him. We'll see this year. I'd argue that his season this year is better, that our team is stronger this year. He has lead us to a 4-0 record against Boston and Cleveland, and has his team pretty much secure as the #1 team in the West and the favorites for HCA throughout. If that doesn't warrant an MVP, than I don't know what does. LeBron has had a spectacular year, but I don't think he is MVP.

Yea Kobe does deserve MVP more this year than last year. This year has been different and he has led the Lakers to the top. The best record and sweeping the season series from Cleveland and Boston. But if he doesn't get it I wouldn't be surprise since LeBron is the NBA's Golden Boy. They should get off LeBron's nuts.

LeBron is deserving of the MVP award, but not as deserving as Kobe this year. If LeBrick wins, I'll be mad, but I'll get over it quickly.

I'm only concerned with the Finals MVP and which Laker receives it.

I don't see Cleveland letting up and losing that 1st place in the East...

LBJ best stats + best team in the east is enough to win him the MVP. Golden boy of the media...

What Kobe could hope for is that the Cavs lose and the Lakers continue winning to widen the gap (maybe 5-8 more W's than the Cavs) to give him a chance at a 2nd str8 trophy... If not then LBJ can have it for all i care... as long as we win the title!

Hate to say it Mamba, but i disagree...

Yes Kobe is playing even better than last year, leadership wise and he deserves to win it... BUT he is still only 2nd to LeBron in the MVP race. LBJ is simply tearing it up.

LeBron has a weaker supporting cast (Z, varejao, Big ben, williams <<<<<<<< pau, bynum, odom), Cavs are #1 in the east (just 1 W less than the Lakers record), and they are blowing out almost every team they face... I won't even include stats but sadly the voters take it to consideration... So No mamba, sorry... The article is correct.. its LBJ's trophy to lose... and Kobe's to steal :ghoti:

    LeBron is a stat-padder.

Thing is, most people don't realize that LeBron is focusing on his stats. It's unnatural to get the stats he does without trying, very specifically, to be statistically complete.

Tonight's game really helped out LBJ.

I don't see how he can win it when the Cavaliers don't have a single meaningful road win this year.
