I mean maybe in 5 years we'll look back and he'll have been a steal, but right now it doesn't look like it.

Also, some haven't even got a chance yet, it's too early. Some look good now, but probably won't in a few years.

Yeah well this thread is about the players who have played well so far. No big deal. Just leave it alone.

Ok and someone said Gerald Green, so I said he can't be considered a steal.

Luther Head was a steal. If he learns to go up strong I predict a 15-20 PPG and 5 AST. Statline when he gets playing time that is.

that seems like a bit of a stretch. Remember, he'll get limited touches with Tracy and now the emergence of Yao. I can see the 5 apg, but not the 15-20 ppg. I can see something around 12 or 13 in the next few years.

Calderon was signed, not drafted. He can't be a steal.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Ukic was a steal, but he didnt want to come to the NBA just yet.</div>So how's he a steal, and besides only one team really guaranteed to draft him and that was the Raptors. And they ended up passing him over with their 16th pick and he fell. That's why he decided to stay over because Raps didn't take him as promised in the first round. For that being a unknown commodity in the NBA and not coming over, he's not a steal.

people were saying he was a top 5 guard in the draft. ANd it wasnt the raptors. It was the celtics, but they passed on him for Green.

Nah dude, I heard Raptors plenty of times when Ukic's name came up. And top 5 guard? This draft was guard heavy, I doubt that.

We told him that he was guarenteed a spot on our team and then Rob Babcock went over to Europe and showed interest in Calderon. Ukic didn't know what was going on and he didn't like the situation so he just signed with a Euro team. Now that we don't have a dumbass GM Ukic will probably play for us in 2 years.

Some Celts fans have said Gomes and I didn't hear you call them out. :dunno: Double standard against Mavs fans?Another name to throw out there as a steal might be Chris Taft. He was slotted in the lotto for most of the year before the draft, then falling all the way to 42. Haven't seen what he's done with Warriors, tough spot for minutes.
