Agent: Moore to join Celtics

You act like we're the only team out there looking to sign these guys. Moore had other offers. If we told him we were going to wait it out, he would have went somewhere else, then if nobody else is bought out we get nothing.

I just find it funny that you can even muster up the energy needed to get so upset about a meaningless late season signing made by the defending champion and current favorites. Whoever we signed as a big man was going to be for insurance purposes only. We don't need him just like we don't need Joe Smith or Jason Collins. We have a 4 man rotation down low, and all 4 are better than anybody that is or will be available.

 

A true backup center that can't rebound, defend, or block? Oh oh sign me up!!

Its not a case of we missed out on Smith. Its a case of WE SIGNED A PLAYER WHO IS 40 TIMES WORSE THAN SMITH, A WHOLE WEEK BEFORE THE DEADLINE, BEFORE EVEN WAITING TO SEE IF SMITH WOULD BE BOUGHT OUT. Mikki Moore is fucking awful, he is not better or more productive than Glen Davis. Why sign him, and forfeit your chances at a guy who will actually improve the team? Danny completely shit the bed.

When you sign a seven-foot softy place-holder and leave much more enticing and productive options out on the free agent market (and those more enticing options will likely end up with the East team with the best chance of beating you), yeah I think I have every right to be upset.

All you've done is constantly change the story about Moore and why he's here, and bash me for complaining about us jumping the gun to sign this waste of space and forgoing better options (a.k.a. everything else, including nothing).

What's the point? I'm not that worried about trying to change your opinion. I think you are completely misunderstanding my position, anyway. I agree with most of what you said, I just don't think it's a big deal and I also don't think Joe Smith is going to get bought out.
