    Andrew Bynum has started workouts on a stationary bicycle and an elliptical trainer this week, the first steps in his rehabilitation and recovery from a torn medial collateral ligament suffered Jan. 31 against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers expect the 7-foot Bynum to be sidelined until at least April.

    They said it's been a smoother process with this injury because Bynum & his trainers know exactly how to treat it physically and mentally. Bynum has a confidence in not only being able to return, but also being able to play at a high level when he comes back.

    I think it has also been a smoother process simply because this injury isn't as severe as last year's.
