It will be interesting how much the economy plays into the size of the deals given out. I don't think this will be a typical free agency period because I think there is going to be a lot more bargaining going on than usual.

Fuck. I was just going to post that. ahahahah. As a Steelers fan, We need to shore up that O-line and bring back Nate. But we are a boring FA team, so I'm interested to see what the Redskins do, If Albert doesn't go to TBay, maybe Washington?

Fred Taylor could be signed early cause he worked out with a couple teams already

I heard Washington is the front runner, though I don't know their cap situation.

The Bucs are swimming in cap space though.

EDIT: no, the Glazers are just gonna sit on their hands and enjoy their new spending money.

I'm hoping Dallas can get a deal done with Ray Lewis pretty quickly.

Do you guys think Houshmanzadeh's a #1 WR? Does seem like there's much out there besides him at that position. If the Giants don't bring back Plaxico, WR is the focus (along with LB). I'm skeptical that we address those spots through free agency though.

Housh isnt a 1, but he is like a 1.5ish WR. He would be good in NY

I think Lewis wants to be a Cowboy, but they have to sign Ware and they dont have a ton of cap room....I suspect he will be a Raven....

BTW, they announced the cap for 2009 and it is $127 million....thats $4 mill more than was projected, so teams that were up against the cap have a little more breathing room....it sucks for teams like the Bucs, Titans, and Lions that had huge ammounts of room, but benefits teams that didnt, like Washington and New England....

Giants have a bit more than $15 mill, I believe. Should be interesting.

Do the Ravens keep Ray Lewis or Bart Scott?
