The Ravens LB is scheduled to visit the NY Jets friday unless the Ravens can get him to commit to a deal before then....
The Jets were thought to have secured him quite soon after 12, but then there was a bit of uncertainty as Scott was supposedly talking with the Ravens again. This afternoon it was reported that it was official, with the Jets adding another year to the deal and a bit more money. The dudes at the NFL Network were suggesting that the Ravens' interest was fabricated the entire time. Scott never left the Jets facility but him and his agent might've convinced the Jets that they had competition (think Rosenhaus and McGahee when the Bills drafted him) to trick them into bidding against themselves. If this is true, its absolutely hilarious/pathetic.
Think about this from the Ravens perspective: "Hey Ozzie, the Jets wants to pay our 3rd best LB over $8mil a season....you want to match that? Shut up and get me Ray's cell number"
