Bucks would have given up R-Jeff AND Joe Alexander for RLEC?

Take it with a grain of salt, since it's Bill Simmons, but ...

Also I had to LOL at this sentence:

Yeah right, I fail to believe Milwaukee didn't offer up Sessions as well in the deal, along with Michael Redd as long as they paid 99 percent of his salary just for RLEC.

It shows how highly RLEC was valued by the team.

Yeah, I'd take what a (rather poor) humourist like Bill Simmons says with a grain of salt.

Simmons forgot to add that Milwaukie also insisted on Rudy with RLEC and that was why we kept saying NO.

It jibes with what I heard close to the trade deadline, although I had heard about RJ + the 1st and not RJ + Joe Alexander. As for the VC deal, I also heard whispers of something like it. I'm no insider, I'm just saying that Simmons may not be wrong on this count.

We get one big move to acquire an expensive contract. That better be the right move because it locks us up for years. KP says that big move wasn't good enough at the trade deadline. He has one more shot next year, but it will be more difficult to execute. If the big move for the "right" expensive star does not become available, then we will have to continue to grow our own through the draft and through opportunistic trades.

A star level wing improves us incrementally. A star level point improves us multiplicatively. Like others, I personally believe that KP is hoping for a good to great point or perhaps a young and great wing player.

If these reports are true, it appears that perhaps saving money was more important to PA than we previously thought.

The Carter + picks was reported by some other reporter the day after the deadline. That report clashed with previous reports that Thorn was reluctant to include even one pick with Carter. I don't think Simmons is a second source, I think he's just repeating that claim and adding one of his own.

He could be right, I just don't think it's very likely. I don't consider Simmons a good source for real information.

I heard about both before the trade deadline. And like I said, I'm no insider. We'll agree to disagree on the veracity of the information.

I really don't care about Joe Alexander being thrown in, I am not a fan of his. The main piece would have been RJ anyhow.

Do we really have a Huge Internet Following? I always assumed that we were fewer in number than teams in larger cities.

If you read any article on ESPN.com that has a Blazer-related snippet, take a look at the comments. They are usually 60% Blazer fans.

Compared to size of market we are, our online presence is massive if you look at the various blog and forum activity.
