<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah I would rather have Van Exel as well. Stack has yet to prove that he is clutch. His stats in the playoffs are horrible (36% shooting). Van Exel at least raised his game in the playoffs though he wasn't a high percentage shooter either and a black hole at times like Stack.</div>Van Exel had one great playoff run, the year before he did nothing. His career is overrated as a Mav. Look at him after the trade. We traded him at the perfect time.

We did trade him at the right time, but the question asked for the best 6th man in Mavs history...and that's all you can go by...not what he did before or after his stint with the Mavs.

Well then who was the best 6th man in your opinion? I mean Stack and Van Exell, are pretty much the list, unless there's a guy from the 80's that I dont rember...and between those two, as far as success with a sixth man goes, we were more successfull, so far with Nick than Stack...But I expect that to change this year.

In terms of player, I liked Jamison better then Nick and Stack. Just because Jamison was more efficient, played off the team and didn't force shots. He was just in a bad situation playing in a experimental year. But as for impact, old school was Tarpley, with Stack or Nick, Nick impacted the game more because he was essentially a starter with the minutes he played.

Jamison was a worse defender than Nash was. He was a big reason why Dallas was the worse defensive team in the league by far. That is what kept him from being a starter.

Those 3 manned the frontline all year long, with occassional Fortson starting at center(beginning of year) and Fin moving to 2 or Walker at center with Delk at 2(with Daniels starting at 2 at end of year). Where was Jamison supposed to start? Dirk and Fin weren't moving from the line to bench, and Nellie loved Walker. All their defense was bad, and you only say Jamison was kept from starting because of that.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dampier is probably the 2nd best center in Mavs history</div>Dampier better then Raef LaFrentz? and what about Shawn Bradley? Yeah he wasnt much of a shooter but he could play defense with his height and all.

He was undersized here, and was foul prone. Also, the guy is a jumpshooter, not a man in the middle. And Bradley, simply wtf? Not much of a shooter huh, his midrange was money. Now I liked Bradley and what he brung, but no way is he close to Damp.Damp is the 2nd best center in Mavs history for the fact he's the only center we've had since James Donaldson. And please don't name guys who played center for Mavs, look at those names.
