Re: This is we we love Channing! http://sportstwo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136064 Cool interview though.
Re: This is we we love Channing! Now if he could take his personality and turn his jokes into jumpshots!
Re: This is we we love Channing! can someone edit the title of the thread please? should say "why we" no "we we"
Re: This is we we love Channing! Done. Also fixed the second "we." We don't all love Frye. I hate him deeply and unreservedly.
Re: This is we we love Channing! See, this is why I just sit there with my fingers crossed when he comes in the game. I want him to succeed so bad, almost more than anyone else on the team. He came out here and became one of us! A weird Oregonian. I love the guy.
I know Channing's been in a season-long funk, but he is still one hell of a player. I'd love to keep the guy around, because when he gets minutes, he generally produces.
I somewhat agree that he can be a much better player than we've seen for most of this season. But, Channing strikes me as a 'rhythm' guy, and they typically need more than 15 minutes a game to be effective, the only problem is that for as long we have LMA, Greg and Joel, the minutes for backup power forward and backup center are always going to be lean. Channing probably will end up with some team who needs a 6'11" guy who can rebound a little and space the floor with his shot. I can see him playing well in a system like New York, or any other team without a lot of length or without an offensive minded frontcourt.
haha.. that was actually pretty funny. The kid probably had no clue he was talking to a pro athlete, and could probably care less that Channing was. Just a shame that Frye probably won't be here next season.
Too bad he can't play more like last year. He had a rookie year that surprised me, and then regressed. That mean's next year he'll be "ON" again, good for 6 and 4 off the bench in 16 minutes of PT. Personally I thought he would do well as LMA's backup. But that hasn't been the case.
i've never been a big fan of channing on the court but no one can deny he isn't a great on camera with a mic. the guy has a great personality and i hope one day he takes mike rices seat as a broadcaster. he just doesn't fit in with this team on the court and probably won't be here next season.
