In the context of the article, I think it's clearly a typo, and the intended paragraph was: "In three seasons in the NBA, the Trail Blazers guard has been hardly disappointing. But with his team in the running for a playoff berth, Roy is making a point to lead his team by doing more than scoring -- even if it comes at the expense of his teammates' feelings." It's still awkward, but at least a reasonable meaning comes across (Roy has been great, but he's pushing himself and the team to be even better). All in all, sloppy job by ESPN. Heads should roll.
So true, everything Stephen A. Smith warned us about on draft night came true. What a waste of a draft pick and trade. Sarcasm... I has it!
Re: Roy has been disappointing? He's doing it on purpose. It appears he's another poster here who's trying to either be funny or be obnoxious. Ed O.
I think i should follow the mood swings of some of the posters on this board and say: "OMG Roy's been disappointing! trade him! trade him!"
