LeBron can't lead his team to a respectable road win and is 0-2 against the Lakers. Kobe has his team as the best team in the league record wise. He has us 4-0 against the Cavs and Celtics, and his stats are barely any different than last year. He is starting to get the same MVP love he got last year around this time and the MVP talk around LeBron is starting to quiet down like it did for Paul last year. Kobe is going to pull away from Bron in this race down the stretch.
In all reality, if it wasn't for the fact that you basically need a 50 win season to get the MVP, it really should go to Dwayne Wade. He has led a very, very, very mediocre Heat team to what, a 30-27 record so far, they've already doubled last years win total, and are in the hunt for homecourt in the 1st round. He, in reality, is who SHOULD be the MVP, but everyone is going to look at the fact that LeBron is on a team with close to 60 wins and disregard the brilliant season Wade has had. That and historically, 50 wins is the plateau for MVP. You have to reach 50 wins to get it, no one has ever won it on a sub-50 win team.
LeBron should have been the MVP last year then with that logic, Bron could put up the same numbers as Wade with a cast or not. I think Kobe and Bron's defense is better than Wade's too.
That formula doesn't win it though, Moo. We've experienced it with Kobe up until last year, completely being dominant but on a mediocre team.
Seeing as how rigged the NBA truly is, it really would be a surprise to see how Kobe wins it. The NBA promotes its star players either through referees or manipulation of votes.
