    Notes on the event:

    -- WEC 39 will be the last WEC event to feature fighters heavier than lightweight. The welterweight division is being dissolved, with some fighters going to the UFC and other fighters becoming free agents. A scheduled welterweight championship bout at this event between Carlos Condit, the last WEC champion, and Brock Larson, was cancelled. Both fighters will instead compete on an upcoming UFC Fight Night card, with Condit facing Martin Kampmann in the main event, and Larson facing Jesse Sanders on the under card.

    -- This will be Mike Thomas Brown's first title defense after defeating reigning champion Urijah Faber. Since coming down to featherweight from lightweight, top contender Leonard Garcia is undefeated at 2-0. In his last bout Garcia crushed former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver in the first round with thundering punches. Garcia will be the home town favourite as he is a Texas native.

    -- Jose Aldo is expected to be the next top contender at featherweight if he is able to continue his hot streak and smash through veteran Chris Mickle.

    It seems TSN and TSN2 are both showing Curling on Sunday night, so Canadian fans can watch WEC 39 on Thursday instead. Or via stream. Hoping to see one linked on the net tomorrow night. If I find it, I'll share.

    damn, I thought TSN created TSN2 to avoid problems like these, what the hell is the point if theyre gonna show shitty sports on both channels.
