I'm just quite impressed with your ability to analyze his knee injury without having examined him. As for my criticism of TO, I think he's a fine player, he just doesn't fit our team.
I PM'd you, and you don't respond. I feel that your response and vulgarities toward me are unwarranted. Where have I ever said that GO isn't a part of this team's future?
Then please explain how we agree on a statement (that "It's everyone's fault but Oden's") that would be impossible for any rationale person to believe that I made during this thread. Seriously - please explain.
I responded in a post rather than via PM as I don't wish to write the same thing twice. And all I'm accusing you of is being a shitty fan. It's my opinion; feel free to disagree.
To be fair, just because a doctor says a person isn't likely to do any further damage to an injured body part doesn't mean Greg has the mobility to be effective in an NBA basketball game.
The last I heard, doctors don't coach the team, Nate does. And Nate said he looked like crap on Friday and he wasn't going to play him until he was ready.
So pointing out this makes me a "s****y" fan, but your bashing of Outlaw makes you a good fan. You're a coward.
Like I said, my "bashing" of TO is that he's a good player, but he just doesn't fit this team. I think he's not a high BBIQ player, and I have six years of evidence to back it up. He still barely knows the fundamentals of team defense and makes Zach Randolph look like John Stockton. Unfortunately for TO, we're developing a team of players with high BBIQ who pass and find the open man. As for me being a coward, I cherish your opinion.
Somebody insinuated that the team had been less than upfront about this injury, yet the only quote I've seen is from Oden saying that he is setting his own return date. This is my starting point. I'm sorry if I am wrong about your take because I have at least three discussions going on at one time.
You are a coward, and your avatar makes fun of a child. This doesn't mean I consider you a "s****y" fan, though, but I guess you've made your case about me.
No problem, I just didn't want my point to be discounted. I think a lot of us out there are frustrated with a lack of info on the injury, but realize it isn't Greg's fault and still very much believe in, and support him.
I've posted many times that I am frustrated that he isn't on the court, because he makes the team much better when he is.
Thats fine, although it has nothing to do with my point. For the 3rd time - I am saying that I think people should be careful to not take their frustrations concerning the lack of info on the injury onto Greg himself. It's not his job to report it.
He did report it though. That's why people are wondering. He said he's been cleared, and in his interview at All-Star weekend during the rookie game he said he would have played had it been a real game.
Having you been living under a rock for the last two years?!? Obtaining the number one pick in the draft at such small odds has been one of the most exciting moments in Blazer history. With the temptation of a dynamic scorer in KD the organization resisted the ultimate temptation and put their faith in a very rare big man with freakish agility. And why? Because G.O. has the ability to become the Key final piece in our growth into becoming a steady contender. If 90% of the people believe he can be that piece than I would consider that "everyone"
So because he said that we should lump all our feelings regarding the poor injury coverage onto Greg? Obviously he CAN play on it - he came back in the same game he injured it in. That doesn't mean he SHOULD play on it. Either way, it is frustrating to not know the details - but for the 4th time: not knowing the details is not something that should be blamed on Greg. I think we should talk about this some other time when you have less conversations going on so you can understand. I've got to get some sleep so I'll talk to you later.
Those are your expectations, though. I also feel he can be that piece if he is the guy that I thought the Blazers drafted, but that doesn't mean he isn't above being questioned after so many injuries.
ABM what is your problem with GO? You are becoming quite Mixum-like- and after a great great win by the Blazers. Please consider chilling.
