This is true. I work in the Rose Garden and I heard it from several sources. http://www.oregonlive.com/news/index.ssf/2009/03/16yearold_hit_by_car_after_lea.html
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game I-5 isn't a sidewalk. Sad story, but I need more details.
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game I'll probably end up going straight to hell for saying this, but whatever, 'Natural selection hard at work.'
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game Stuck? Think you need a 'r'. I was wondering how the heck did he get stuck leaving the Garden?
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game Wow, that's sad. I hope he pulls out of it okay.
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game And he was hit by a short bus. damn, I'm going to hell too now.
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game Supposedly he left the arena on his own will as he had contacted some RG staff on the way out.
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game Horrible story. Somebody really should have been looking out for the kid. The Rose Garden will probably hear about this one.
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game Good question but all I know is that from now on I should probably be more carefully after games when I'm dashing across the street trying to block traffic with a load of fans...
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game There's a entrance to I-5/84 on the NE corner of the Garden.
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game Maybe I didn't word it correctly. Why would he step onto I-5? Seems like a boneheaded move to me.
I also feel for the driver of the car that hit him. I don't know if they weren't paying attention to the road or if it was unavoidable, but the guilt they must be feeling must be overwhelmingly.
Re: 16 year old stuck after leaving the Blazers Game Have you read the thread? He was developmentally disabled.
