Roy and Aldridge were spectacular last night. They couldn't miss. In fact, everybody shot well, and played well. It was a very impressive win against a very good defensive team. This bodes well for the playoffs.
Hollinger's been much-criticized on this board, but his playoff odds for Portland have been high pretty much all season and it's looking more and more like he's been right all along. Ed O.
Actually, if you exclude Frye, our bench plus Batum shot 4-26 last night (Rudy, Travis, Batum, Randolph, Sergio, Bayless). Przybilla was 1-3 as well. I love how well we played in the first half, and how dominant our big 2 were last night, but I think we're going to need one to two players more to have at least decent games for us to do well long-term. It's a bit unrealistic to expect Roy/Aldridge to carry us shooting over 67% between the two every night. All this said, that was a sick first half to watch. It was a fun game period, and I loved smashing on the Spurs.
