Just beat Boston by 10 to get to 500. I know it said that this team is in this postion, but we just beat the defending champs by TEN! and we scored 105 points. I dont know the last time we scored 100 points.
I wonder how the play when Iverson comes back, and how he adjusts to coming off the bench. good game by rip though. Hopefully they can use this as momentum to finish up the season.
They will head right back to shit-town if Iverson plays a major role on this team. Should have kicked him at the deadline.
They should have traded him to Phoenix for Shaq. Everybody would have won that deal. The Suns would gotten a guy they could ties with the minute free agency started (like Sarver wanted), the Pistons would have gotten a huge lift at center to compliment Sheed, whose contract would have expired in 2010, which is the class they're probably aiming for anyway.
I'm curious to see how AI fits in with the 2nd unit, even though AI is a 1st ballot hall of famer whereas Hamilton is not.
For some odd reason, I don't think AI is going to take too kindly to getting benched. He's never exactly been a great team guy.
AI can eat shit. He's the reason Detroit sucks, their play without him has removed all doubt about that. If he starts yapping, then he's only hurting his FA prospects.
^^^ Wow, the world's most anti-Iverson forum continues to live up to it's reputation. The funny thing is, even if hypothetically Iverson deserved the hatred, he would still have the upper hand over his haters, because he will be a Hall of Famer, whereas most of the players the haters think are better than Iverson will not be Hall of Famers. I made a sweet internet discovery the day before yesterday; I found a place that archives who did what by the month This is very valuable, because it bridges the gap between mere game stats at the one extreme and cumulative season stats at the other extreme. Looking at how players have done by the month can give you extremely valuable information that you could not get otherwise. Both coaches and players can definitely be evaluated more accurately than before. For example, remember at the beginning of the season, during November, Iverson was PG for Detroit? You can see how he did while he was designated PG. And you can see how the other players did while he was PG. Then you can compare all of that to another month, January for example, when Iverson was 2-guard again. The Pistons have made so many starting lineup and rotation changes this year that everyone's head is spinning. But I have just the medicine: monthly Real Player Ratings, which if you are smart will suggest reasons why some starting lineups and rotations were and are better than others. So I'm starting a new thread called "Detroit Pistons Real Player Ratings by the Month". It's going to be, like I said, sweet. One other thing: tonights Pistons at Hawks game is extremely important as far as I am concerned. The Hawks remain the most likely playoff opponent for the Pistons, and the Pistons want to make a statement in this game that they can win over them on the road since, after all their unexpected losses, it looks like right now they won't have the home court advantage in their playoff series. Both the Hawks and the Pistons are back to back.
