The Patriots know what they're doing. (the most successful franchise for the past 10 years in the United States)
You know, I wish you could just talk football because you seem like an alright guy and a pretty knowledgeable NFL fan. It would be nice to have a serious football discussion one day without you resorting to the same old routine.
I tend to agree. You can either believe an improbable series of events where Belicheck intentionally sabotages his own team and arbitrarily favours one former coworker over another (along with Bronco's hoping for a pretty lopsided deal), or that that really was the best offer coming to a team that was looking to quickly unload Cassell's salary. One's a lot more plausible than the other.
Spurs - 4 rings in 9 years Lakers - 3 rings in 9 years, 3-peat from 2000-02 I don't see where the Patriots factor into that, even with their valiant efforts with video cameras.
Excuse for what? Any idiot could figure out that winning multiple title in the NFL is more difficult than it is in the NBA. With only 5 people on the court at a time, it's way easier to get a dominant player and surround him with good enough pieces to win multiple titles. In the NFL, you can't do that.
Fail. Tom Brady is/was every bit the dominant factor at QB that Shaq or Duncan were/are at their positions. Brady had plenty of talent around him all the time, from the line, to a deep running back corps, to an extensive amount of pass catchers. The Patriots also had the best D-line in football, and were scary at both other levels of the defense. Don't use the talent to players card. Instead of playing the excuses game, simply come to me when the Patriots have passed the Spurs for rings in a decade, and when they string together three in a row. Then you can say the Patriots are the team of the decade.
Football is built on parody. Last time i checked, it is harder to win titles in parody. Thrilla is 100% correct.
Are you serious? What does anything you said have to do with what I said? I said it's easier to win multiple championships in the NBA because you can take a dominant player and you don't need that much on top of that to win mulktiple titles. You then answer me by telling me how great the Patriots have been in every aspect of the game? You're just making my point for me. I seriously have no idea what you're trying to even say in that post, besides the last part, which is negated by your failure to make a coherent argument in the first part.
It is harder to win multiple titles in footbal....unless you have an unfair advantage garnered through the process of cheating....then you get no recognition for anything you did in the era....all teams > 2000's Cheatriots
Oh, and by the way, does Tom Brady play defense? Does he kick field goals? Does he run back kickoffs and punts? It's impossible for an NFL player to be as dominant as an NBA player because they don't have the opportunity.
Pats came through the steel city for 2 of their 3 Super Bowls. And winning 2 of them in 4 years for Pittsburgh, it is so tough. It's easier then repeating in March Madness, but harder, by far then Basketball and even so, Hockey.
