Coast Guard continues search; families of missing men hold out hope http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/11443813
What a fricking tragedy...NFL players actually having a good time, legally, and this happens. My prayers are with them all...even the Raiders player. Sad sad sad
pretty sure thats still legal....shit, Ive played gof in the rain, doesnt been I deserve to die by lightning bolt
I'm not saying they deserved it, but I don't look at it as some freak accident. Lapse in judgment on their part.
Bad judgement for sure....they went out on a 21 foot vessel on a high seas advisory day....Ive heard reports they went as much as 50 miles out into the gulf and then anchored....that doesnt mean they should die what must be a horribly freightening death....I still hope the turn up somewhere, but it doesnt look good....
Missing NFL player's family says they've given up search Story Highlights "New information" prompted Marquis Cooper's family to end search Corey Smith, William Bleakley also missing; one man was found Four reported missing after failing to return from fishing trip Survivor says some of the men lost hope and took off life jackets
That sucks they quit on themselves. I guess playing for the Lions and Raiders will have that kind of effect on your mental toughness.
With all due respect to them and their loved ones, I think they gave up on life. I'd rather die trying to survive than succumb to death like they reportedly did.
The Today show was talking about them, they might have given up but they could have also gone insane.
Yup, they sometime find people who die of hypothermia in the snow. They find them because they have gone nuts and start taking off their clothes! The follow the trails of clothes and find them frozen with only underwear on. It really sucks
The best evidence we have is the quote from the survivor stating they lost hope, took their vests off, and slipped away into the abyss. The today show could speculate all they want, they weren't there. They quit on life, they quit on the Coast Guard, they quit on surviving. I'm glad the survivor didn't.
