I am becoming a Kobe Bryant fan. Not a Laker fan a Kobe fan. The more I see him play the more I fall for the guy. I am sick of the hate people give him for the mistakes he has made.He cheated on his wife? Not a smart move but im sure there are tons of NBA players who have done it without getting caught. Yet Kobe is the only one who gets exploited because of it.He gives it his all every single night and never gives up. I guess I am a fan of the underdogs in the NBA. My question is. Whats not to like about him?

I have no grudges for him for off-the-court issues. That stuff is just a hater's finding a reason to hate him. I could care less about what a player does on his own time. It's not my business.I don't really mind Kobe. I like watching him play, but i'd probably put myself in the group of rare tweeners. Normally with Kobe, it's you love him or hate him. I'm one of the few that does neither.I lvoe Lamar Odom tho. He had a nice game tonight; he was hitting everything, especially in the 1st qt.

He gives off some cheap shots like he did on Dirk and has done it to some other players. Just easy for the opponents to hate him and other opponents fans.

Of course teams will hate him. I would hate him to if he destroyed my team every game. But you have to RESPECT him.

Yeah he is a great player and competitor but he needs to be able to make the players around him better. He could learn a lot from the way Nash plays.

He could learn a lot from the way Nash plays.</div>If kobe decided to play like Nash the lakers lose. Odom can't win a game on his own, kobe can.Secondly i'm falling for odom. All it took was one sentence from phil for him to play like he's supposed to. What baffels me is that we went away from him and i don't know why. He's shot were falling and we were looking for kobe. That was stupid, kobe was off and odom was hot.Isn't it sad that both kobe and odom cannot be hot at the same time? Either it's kobe or odom. It's fustraring because if odom and kobe played well together this team would be a top 4 team.Thirdly what is this <Censored> about making his teamates better? Who says kobe isn't making his teamates better? Haven't you seen Luke walton improving? or Kwame brown improving? or sasha improving? As kobe said it the media only shows when kobe's shouting at his teamates but don't show when he goes and gives them advice or slaps them when they score. When news of Kobe Bryant's 81 against the Raptors spread through the Rose Garden's visiting locker room, the Mavericks' relief over outlasting the Blazers in overtime was replaced by amazement at Bryant's feat.Amazement, but by no means shock. That's because the Mavs saw Kobe score 62 on them just a month ago in 33 minutes of a 112-90 Lakers' rout. Mavs guard Darrell Armstrong stabbed his finger at a partial box score showing Kobe had 41 midway through the third quarter against Toronto."Imagine if our game had been close," Armstrong said, suggesting that had Bryant not sat the entire fourth quarter he might've had more than 81 that night.More than anything, the Mavs were simply curious how Kobe put together the second highest scoring effort in NBA history, eclipsing all except Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game for Philadelphia against the Knicks in 1962. Only coach Avery Johnson showed more interest in the Sonics' 152-149 double overtime win over the Suns, perhaps because the Mavs play in Seattle on Thursday. But while Johnson marveled at the Sonics winning despite only 40 points in the paint and Luke Ridnour getting 30, the rest of the team looked to dissect Bryant's performance."How many times did he get to the line?" asked Jerry Stackhouse (a relatively modest 18-of-20)."How many assists?" asked Keith Van Horn. "He didn't have any against us" (two assists, three turnovers)."He took 47 shots?" asked Devin Harris (actually, 46, making 28).Someone asked Dirk Nowitzki if he could top 82. "I don't think that would be good from a team standpoint," Nowitzki said.Stackhouse finished buttoning his shirt and shook his head in pure admiration. "You'd think the Super Bowl would lead 'SportsCenter' tonight," he said. "But you know it won't. It can't. Kobe will. He has to." Lol, the mavs hate kobe because he dropped 62 on their asses. And i thought that would keep them queit, however it doesn't.

The lakers has a pretty even approach last night and they did fine. Every Kobe fan always talks about how poor his supporting cast is, but they really aren't that bad. If Kobe would put some trust in them, they would be alot better.

Wow the Mavs are idiots, hadn't read that before. I like Kobe also, the whole "rape" thing never bothered me because he's not a rapist, I knew that from the start. He shouldn't have done it, but the girl was just a psycho. He is also very entertaining to watch, him along with Tracy (though not really this season) and LeBron are my favorite players to watch. Why is this is General Discussion though?

He shot 28-46. That is OVER 60 percent from the field.I dont know where you pulled 30% from but he doubled that.Shotting 60% as a guard is amazing.

Yeah those stats were way off, and if I were him I wouldn't be passing either. He was a fine team player when Shaq was around, but when you're the best player on the team and you don't have anyone else great to pass to, then why not average 35 a game?

Enough of this Kobe Bryant worship. He never could be a team player because he is too turnover prone. He is a pure scorer and a decent defender but his passing skills are not there.

That's like asking my opinion on Stephon Marbury.

..Didnt Michael Jordan cheat on his wife?Kobe could learn alot from Nash...but too bad hes not a point guard. Hes a shooting guard ..thats why he shoots the ball most of the time.Kobe averages less TOs per game then Nash Lebron Wade and AI.

Like i said if kobe were to play like nash we lose. Role players alone cannot win.And nba dogma, where were you when kobe was literally being trippled and passes it to an open sasha or luke only for them to brick it? That happened in like 3 games straight where kobe had to play iniator becauce odom was out.

The whole rape thing was just an excuse for people to hate him more, I don't know anyone who liked him before the incident but disliked him afterwards.
