PG:Pete Maravich-Maravich wasn't the first player to dribble behind his back or make a deft between-the-legs pass. But his playground moves, circus shots, and hotdog passes were considered outrageous during his era. Its a shame he had to die the way he did.John Stockton-Definition of a "pure" point guard. All time leader in steals in assists. He came so close to a title several times.Dave Bing-Underrated as a scorer and a passer.SG:Adrian Dantley-The closest he came was the finals against the Lakers. Who remembers game 1 when he had 30 some points and shot 14-16 from the field wow. SF:George Gervin-He should have made the nba finals but his Spurs team let the Bullets come back from a 3-1 series lead. He never won a title despite some of the great players he played with Mike Mitchell,Artis Gilmore,Johnny Moore,Dominique Wilkins- Was a great scorer. In my opinion he was one of the best scorers in league history .Bernard King-I have a bunch of old game film of him he dominated the game and scored like nomatter what shot he took it would go in. He seemed to never miss.Elgin Baylor-He had alot of chances but the Celtics refused to lose. And even with Jerry West and Wilt they could not beat the 1970 Knicks team.PF:Karl Malone-Teamed with one of the greatest point guard of all time but like Stockton he came so close several times but just could not defeat Jordan and the Bulls.Charles Barkley-He came so close a few times. He was drafted by the sixers one year after they won, they lost in the east finals his second year, Jordan's Bulls beat them in 6 games in 1993. Tough luck I guess.C:Artis Gilmore-Had one of the best shooting percentages of all time at about 60%. He never won an NBA title, Howver he was an ABA champion with the Kentucky ColonelsWalt Bellamy-Alot of people forget about him because he played in the same era as Wilt and Russell... but he was a dominating big man. Averaged 20 and 13 for his career. Great numbersBob Lanier-He was great at playing through injuries. He reached he conference finals twice? If in not mistaken. He fell to the eventual champion 76ers in 83 and the Celtics in his last season as a pro.Nate Thurmond-Career averages of 15 ppg and 15 rpg. Great stats. One of only 4 players to achieve a quadruple double. The closest he came to a title was as a rookie in 64 when they made the finals only to be defeated by the ?< Not sure someone might want to look it up

Maravich is overrated. Showing off playground moves rather than play team basketball isnt right. He wasnt a good defender, and he definitely wasnt a good fundamental player. So you're basically saying that he deserved to win a championship because of his fancy style of play? Gary Payton is more deserving of that spot.

Dwyane Wade over tons of other guards?
