Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP The best numbers Pau ever put up were on a piece of shit team that lost 60 games. Stick to the Bulls Denny.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP The proof is in the pudding, eh? Kobe's never played on a bad team and made them contenders. Wade seems to be doing just that this season. Miller was big and slow and not much of a defender but a terrific shooter and decent playmaker. Sasha is big like Miller, but hasn't played the kind of minutes Miller did at the same age. Miller at age 23 scored 11 PPG on 43% shooting in 28 MPG during Memphis' first 50+ win season with Pau. Sasha at age 23 in about half those 28 MPG shot better and scored nearly 9 PPG. Miller's last three seasons have seen his scoring go from 17.0 (age 26) to 16.7 to 11.0. <table class="sortable stats_table" id="LAL"><thead><tr onmouseover="hl(this);" onmouseout="uhl(this);" class=""><th class="tooltip sort_default_asc" align="left">Season</th> <th class="tooltip sort_default_asc" onmouseover="Tip('League')" align="left">Lg</th> <th class="tooltip sort_default_asc" align="left">Team</th> <th class="tooltip" onmouseover="Tip('Wins')" align="right">W</th> <th class="tooltip" onmouseover="Tip('Losses')" align="right">L</th> <th class="tooltip" onmouseover="Tip('Win-loss percentage')" align="right">W-L%</th> <th class="tooltip sort_default_asc" onmouseover="Tip('Regular season finish (within division, if applicable)')" align="right">Finish</th> <th class="tooltip" onmouseover="Tip('Simple Rating System; a team rating that takes into account average point differential and strength of schedule. Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP This is definitely not your shining moment in posting DC.... First...the year the Lakers won 34 games, bot Kobe and Caron missed huge chunks of the season, I think 15 or so games apiece. They also lost their coach halfway in to the season when Rudy T decided he wasn't healthy enough to coach. Also, Pau's supporting cast in Memphis was far greater than the garbage that was on the court for the Lakers during that stretch. At no point did he have to deal with the likes of Smush Parker or Kwame Brown as starters. Yea DC....this is one of those posts you should have just kept to yourself my friend.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP Miller has been consistent in his career, at least for the most part. He's never really had a "bad" season. Sasha is in the midst of a crap season, and in his career, has only had one good year. Miller has had plenty.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP How the hell is Wade's team a contender? He plays in the east and is barely above .500 Sasha is garbage Denny, he's a role player who is playing terrible. Check out his stats on the best team in the league this year. Your comments are terribly misleading, Odom can't be the #2 guy. He has to play 40 minutes just to average 15 points and 10 rebounds, he's not efficient or spectacular. Meanwhile Pau had a glut of talent on Memphis, even Bonzi Wells who is comparable to Odom.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP Earth to Denny, a 45 win season will get you the fourth seed in the East. It is a joke conference outside the first three seeds.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP I actually recall 42 getting Miami the 4th seed back in Wade's rookie year. Also to throw out there, 37 wins makes you a playoff team. 37 teams in the West puts you at the 10th seed at best. Just to get to the playoffs in the West, you need 50 wins anymore, and HCA is gonna require 55 or so. The East is trash. Period.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP Sure they are...ya know...for the playoffs...maybe HCA in the piss poor, pathetic ass Leastern Conference. But for a title? No chance in hell.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP Maybe Miami's not a contender since they traded for JO - they're 5-5 since. Best teams in the league don't tend to give young guys a lot of development minutes. 15 points on 12 shots is efficient (in 40 minutes). But hey, Kobe #1, Caron Butler #2, Odom #3 gets you 34 wins!
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP Just like Cleveland was two seasons ago. One superstar and not much help, to the finals. Once you're in the finals, you're contenders by definition, no?
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP Miami sucked with Marion as well, they were still behind Atlanta. Caron Butler wasn't the player he is today, nor was Kobe. Kobe and Odom also missed 40 games.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP LeBron beat the 41-41 Nets and Gilbert-less Wiz the first two rounds. The East got embarrassed when he got swept.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP ^^^ lame excuses. Jordan was a year older when he won his first championship. Kobe was in his PRIME as an athlete.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP What the hell does Jordan have to do with Kobe? Kobe didn't play well in the regular season that year, uncharacteristic looking back on his career.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP Caron wasn't the 2nd option and wasn't used properly. Odom, please don't try and lecture Lakers' fans on Odom. We know him better than you, so don't embarrass yourself. I love how you fail to mention Rudy T stepping down in the middle of the season.
Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP You conveniently left out they beat Detroit, too. You know, they guys who'd been to the finals or conference finals 6 straight years. And one championship. But let's stay focused on Kobe. He led the Lakers to 42-40 record and a 4-1 ouster from the 1st round that same season. Barely better than .500 even.
