Re: How D-Wade chooses his MVP

They weren't a contender with Marion either, unless you're talking about strictly making the playoffs or getting HCA. But in regards to a championship contender, they're not even remotely close.

And in regards to the 34 win season, take a look at the injuries they dealt with that year. Kobe missed 16 games, Caron missed 5 games (less than what I thought), Odom missed 18 games and Mihm missed 7 games.

So, 2 of their best players missed roughly 1/3 of the season, plus Caron and Mihm each missed time. That's not exactly a recipe for success.

Oh yea, neither is changing coaches in the middle of the season...

My bad for thinking the guy who takes the 2nd most shots is the 2nd option.

The Lakers were "barely over .500" when Rudy stepped down.

That year, Mihm was our most consistent player outside of Kobe, as well. Please, stop arguing this Denny.

Yeah and? I just explained to you that he beat no one aside from Detroit then got embarrassed.

Jordan had a bunch of seasons where he lost games dude, if you want to play that card.

Big whoop...they beat one good team en route to an ass beating. They showed how much they belonged when they were swept and embarrassed in the Finals.

Kobe that season, played the Phoenix Suns, far better than the Gilbert-less Wizards and the declining Nets.

The immortal Michael Jordan did jack shit in the East when he was alone.

They were 24-19 when he stepped down and en route to a playoff berth, also on pace for about 46 wins that year. Not bad for a very young roster playing in a very tough Western conference.

With Chris Mihm as your second most consistent player.

I mean no offense, but all I see is more excuses.

Compare your excuses with, say, Washington. They won 41 games with Arenas out for 8 games, Jamison out for 12, and Butler out for 13. But get this (no excuses!), the next season they won 43 with Arenas missing 82, and Butler missing 24. That's 1 of their best players missing the whole season and another missing 1/3 of it, yet they improved their record going with a bunch of scrubs.

    Re: How Wade chooses MVP

Hey you guys, Jordan won 38 and 40 games before Scottie joined the team!

I guess Pau Gasol is a more integral part to his team.

Michael Jordan isn't being considered for MVP this season, now is he?

You fail to admit they are in the fucking eastern conference. Big difference between the east and west. Especially back then.

Antawn Jamison, Butler in his prime, and Arenas are three All-Stars.

Butler's still in his prime and deserved to be an all-star this year.

They also play in the East. Ya know, the same conference where all you have to do to make the playoffs is win 37 games? Yea, that conference.

They're much deeper in the weaker conference, as the record shows.

Sure. DeShawn Stevenson (11.2 PPG) really made up for Arenas being out. Or would it be Roger Mason (9.6 PPG).
