Re: How Wade chooses MVP I guess two All-Stars stepping up and that Haywood/Blatche duo suck. Face it dude, they're much deeper. Stevenson and Mason are excellent depth as well.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Denny doesn't know much about the Wizards either. They had guys all over stepping up.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Young scored 7.5 PPG last season. When the Wizards won 43. All his numbers, and Kobe's for that matter, prove is that someone has to score points even on roughly .500 teams (or in young's case, one of the worst teams)
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Just forgot the per 36 minutes part. The way you underestimate their depth is incredible.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP I don't know why you keep talking about the Wizards, the Lakers had worse depth even without them having Arenas. And if you want to give credit for the team winning 43 games, it doesn't go to just one player anyway. Your point is entirely irrelevant.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP When the facts don't support your case, impeach your opponent. Not a particularly impressive argument.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP We've addressed your facts directly as well. You've gone in circles ever since Michael Jordan's name came up.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP That's 2 points of poor argument now. First it's attack your opponent (since the facts don't support you), now it's the strawman (Jordan). Look, the bottom line is there's every reason to believe the Lakers would make the playoffs without Kobe. There's every reason to believe they'd bow out in the first round though. There's every reason to believe the Lakers may or may not make the playoffs without Pau. The EVIDENCE is: 1) Pau made the playoffs without Kobe 3 straght seasons, 2) Kobe missed the playoffs 1 out of 3 seasons without Pau.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Your evidence is full of strawmen, stop being hypocritical. You're not presenting that fairly at all or in the proper historic context. The Lakers became the #1 seed last year with the subtraction of Smush and addition of Bynum, a developing player. There's every reason to believe he can carry a team, Pau is nothing without Kobe. Michael Jordan gave the league a facial and didn't even have a winning record before Pippen.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP You also actually said Pau had Miller and no one else, which is an ugly lie. Sasha equals Miller... What? These are credible comments? He's trash dude, and sucked in the playoffs.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Bonzi Wells, Shane Battier, Eddie Jones, Mike Miller, James Posey, Bobby Jackson, Jason Williams, Pau Gasol: Zero playoff wins, sweeped thrice.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP The Lakers added Pau. That's why it's not a strawman. The Heat are already +18 in the win column after Wade's return and still 1/4 the season to go. That's why it's not a strawman. That is a strawman. Neither Jordan or Pippen are even playing this season or up for MVP award this season.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Wtf does +18 mean? Wade barely played last year, even when healthy. He had a terrible season and will be lucky to win 45 games like Kobe did before. It is a strawman that you ignore how much more dominant Jordan was than Pau but was stuck with those losers around him.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Do you know of any playoff team in the history of the league to get swept three times with that talent? I can't think of any right now. How the hell do you not even win one game?
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Kobe, Kwame (super bust, starter who can't get off bench), Sasha (super scrub at the time), Smush (starting pg, now out the league), Lamar (3rd-4th option as 2nd option), Luke (scrub), Cook (can't get any minutes on an NBA team), George (scrub, can't get off bench in Dallas) These were the players Kobe had to work with. Yeah I'd take Gasol's supporting cast 10 times out of 10. To compare that roster to the Grizzlies, or what Wade has to work with now is an absolute joke. Our starting point guard at the time couldn't even stay on the Heat's roster for 1 year.
