That you expect the Blazers to lose a home game to the Los Angeles Lakers says all I need to know about you.
We're a MUCH better team at home than we are on the road. It is illogical to think the Lakers will come into the Rose Garden and beat us. At Staples? Sure. But not at the Garden. Ask the Spurs, Celtics, Rockets, Suns, Jazz, etc how easy it is to win in our building. Learn the game, then post.
No one said it was going to be easy, I certainly don't think it will be easy. But as I glance through the remaining schedule, I don't think we will all 10 homes games. I think we may lose A game. (Maybe even two) And the game I think we lose is Monday night. I was joking about Vegas. I seldom bet. But if I had to bet my life on choosing the winner of that game. My gut says the Lakers. So shoot me. And Go Spursssssssssssssssss
But you said we were going to win easily @ Denver, and Blake was going to get 25 & 10? Making a prediction about a game in which you take the underdog does not make an unlearned fan. I agree the Blazers will likely handle LA, but your pollyanna predictions are getting silly.
The homer in me wants the Suns to win, so Portland is closer to catching the Spurs. The realist in me says that is just silly; Portland won't catch San Antonio, even if the Spurs drop this game, and others like it. iWatas
The latter part of your post is fine, but... What the heck... just because he thinks that the Blazers are going to lose Monday means he isn't a Blazer fan? Huh? So in order to be a fan you must predict the Blazers to win every game? Look, you are a good Blazer fan, and you have your own definition of a fan, but you acting like you get to define what makes a fan and how big of a fan someone is, is simply silly. If someone else has a different definition of a fan, and doesn't want to "check their logic at the door", that doesn't make them any less of a fan. Anyway... I want the Blazers to win and will keep my hopes up until the final whistle blows, but if someone put a gun to my head and asked me to pick the winner, i'd say the Lakers. And I consider myself a pretty big Blazer fan. As for the Suns/Spurs game, I'm definitely rooting for San Antonio, to make sure we get a better cushion between us and PHX. Other than that, we just have to take care of business and get wins in order to move up in teh standings... we control our own destiny in that regard, imo. 11-9 is all we have to do to finish with 50 wins. Wow, what an awesome year.
Jazz beat the Raptors today, putting them ahead of Denver momentarily. Lets hope the Kings can do a miracle and beat the Nuggets tonight.
I used to consider myself a Blazer fan until I see the newer definations of such. Now I am confused. Am I or am I not? I have followed the team every year since Roland Todd was the coach and players like G. Petrie and Sidney Wicks and Bill Walton played. But I do not think this Blazer team will likely win on Monday. If they play up to the level of the San Antonio game I think they may very well win. But they have not played to that level lately so I guess that I am not a fan after all. How do I get redemption?
All tied up int he 4th. SA sucks when Parker is not in the game. (Unless Gianobli was back) Get Udoka out of the game! The Dude just has no offensive skills.
Shows why Phoenix will never and has never won anything. They can't get a stop if their life depended on it.
It was all Parker. He goes out and Phoenix ties it. Parker comes back and they go on 11-0 run. He is un-stopable. Phoenix is far from done though. (their next 7/8 are at home with the road game @GS) With Portland having a 5 and a 4 game road trip left, the Suns will make up some ground. Thursday will be key as they are home agaisnt the Cav's.
I am so wrapped up in this playoff race I watched the 4th quarter of that game. The raptors are horrible.
My good friend MGB always predicts the Blazers to win and he gives me crap because I am realistic and know we won't win every game so I do predict us to lose games. I am a fan for sure and love the team.
