I have to agree with Nikolokolus because a lot of you Oden basher's are fucking ridiculous. If it wasn't Oden it would be something else for most of you idiots to bash on or complain about. I bet if we win the championship there still will be at least 5-6 negative people saying we just are not that good if we don't repeat the next year. Fuck it!!!!

I'm just making a simple point:

    Kevin Durant >>> Greg Oden

Hindsight is always convenient but it's obviously a huge blunder we made. Durant is a year younger and already putting up monster numbers. He'd be scary if he were on a playoff team, like the Blazers. Greggers is made of glass and he compounds this mistake by being a mental midget who folds faster than a lawn chair.

Keep in mind, this is the guy who at the beginning of the season, said Frye > Aldridge during Aldridge's bad streak.

You're obviously a troll. Or at least a trollish character.

Actually I was just going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant it ... then again I'm not sure that's so good either?

Sure, and we'd be kind of screwed long term at the Center position. The thing is that there is not that many young center prospects...while Joel has been great...what about 6-7 years from now when our window is ripe.

And Durant....he would probably be forcing up way too many shots, taking away from Roy and LMA. Durant is great if the focus on the team is on durant and having him score lots of points, but I think ovreall in the long run, Oden is the man for championships.

Why is it that people cannot understand what makes a good basketball player? Hey look! Zach Randolph > Tim Duncan - he scores more! Bernard King > Magic Johnson! Allen Iverson a good basketball player!

Durant was rated by one measure as the worst defensive player IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE. Now THAT'S impressive. But I guess it doesn't matter because he puts up "monster numbers" and the Thunder can't win without him. Oh, wait a minute, though...

The only time I've seen this approach have any success is with Philly's finals run when Iverson was pretty much their ONLY scorer. But even then, that team only won because they had a KILLER defense - played by all the others on the team. And Larry Brown as coach. Then Brown took over the Pistons, who had no "star" and won a title.

You might add the Bulls, but Jordan was a great defensive player. I think the person who compared Kevin Durant with Alex English probably has it right. "Who?" you might say? Exactly. (Apparently he scored more points in the '80s than any other single player.)

teams do this regularly and have for some time... the :NOTMARIS: element in every fanbase mandates it.

As we've seen with Greg and Martell, exceeding the initial injury estimate is like :gasoline: on the mania.

Oden's own words in the Oregonian. There are a few threads on the board about it.

    Next question.

What does "rehab" mean though? Can he risk further damage to the knee by playing a month after the intitial injury?

Allow me to make another simple point. Zach Randolph >>> Brandon Roy.

At a younger age, Z-Bo put up superior numbers to Roy. So, he must be better, right?
