Ok the purpose of this thread is to talk about KG coming to our Lakers in the summer. The rumors are flying, and any new ones you here post em, also post what you think about it.
Okay, what kinda package can the Lakers put together to get him? From everthing I've seen the Warriors and Pacers, and another team that's slipping my mind, all have the best shot, as they have the pieces needed for a deal to get done.

He is one of the few players in the league that can say where they want to go.

If he's traded, I expect to the East ala Shaq.
Can the Lakers even afford Him, Kobe and Lamar Plus between Kobe and KG there going ro fight every night, because there both going to want to shoot every time.
^Exactly, he can tell the Wolve's get me here, and if they can, anda package is worth it, they would. But like with Shaq, the Heat still got murdered with that trade, and it wasn't enough for Shaq, but he said he wanted to go there....he could have been a Mav, and they could have offered the best overall package for him, but the Lakers wanted him out of the East. The team that offers the best deal, and that KG is willing to go to, is wher he'll end up...if he's even traded. He might stay in Minny his whole career, ala Karl Malone.
KG will only be able to say where he wants to go if the Wolves tell him they simply wanna trade him. KG needs to move teams, because this guy has more overall talent than Tim Duncan, more offensive reutoire than most players ever, but his team downfalls have really hurt his career. If this guy goes to a team and helps them to 2 titles, he'll be a top 20 player in anyones books
The only possible way for Kg to come to LA is if he demands it [please god let that happens]. Actually if odom can fullfill his talent there's no need for Kevin garnett.Time will tell.
I'm sorry but I don't see how even if KG demands a trade to LA, Wolves have to abide by him. He's not holding them at gunpoint, they can trade him anywhere to appease their tastes. Their gonna be trading their franchise player, I'm pretty sure they have their own agenda.Like actually getting something of need, rather then giving him away just because KG wants to go there. Now if LA has the best deal, then it could be done, but it won't be done just because it's what KG wants.
If Kg demands to got to LA and nowhere else Minny are going to have to look at the lakers deal. If they don't Kg would probably pull a VC and just be a cancer to his team [if he's really desperate].edit: You do know KG doesn't have to go where Minny trade him to?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>edit: You do know KG doesn't have to go where Minny trade him to?</div>Then Minny can sit on him, their not gonna be good either way. But I seriously doubt KG doesn't report, he's not like Artest.

They ain't trading him if he's not gonna be demanding one. No where does that say were trading KG to where he wants us to. When he asks for one, their gonna take their time with offers.

I just can't see him going to LA. One team i can see him going to is chicago. the only prolem is, they don't have alot of big salaries to match his.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Waqas @ Mar 26 2006, 04:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah, but would KG want to just SUDDENLY turn his back on lots of loyal fans like that?</div>this isn't really sudden. It's obvious he's not happy. He's been threw years of frustration with his team. I'm sure he's not concernedw/ his fan base in Minny. He just wants to win, and i don't blame him.
What would the Lakers trade? they have nothing to trade. besides, they don't need garnett, it would mess em up. kobe and him couldnt share the ball. the lakers just need to chill in the offseason and get more quality and role veterans like latrell sprewell.
Spreewell?? Why?To start he's not even listening to teams that are trying to pick him up.We just picked up JJ not long ago. Why would we add him, it would create a log jam at the 2 and 3.We just need more depth at the 4 and 5. And a better PG
