    Hello darkness, my old friend
I'm not into the Watchmen, and I don't plan to see the movie...but I heard that the director changed the graphic novel version ending and that has a lot of Watchmen fans up in arms. A friend of mine, who is into the Watchmen, linked me to this...which I think is funny, whether or not you care about the movie:

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/vIhHema5PNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/vIhHema5PNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

That's nice. Nerds make all the cool shit in the world anyhow. :tsktsk:

I saw the movie and liked it very much. But then again, I knew I was going to like it when a previewer said it was filled with nothing but violence, gore, and sex. What else is there?

Actually the Watchmen graphic novel is considered to be a literary gem. It is a very famous, and very popular. But you know, you are so much cooler than everybody else, that you can skip it if you want. :drumroll:

literary gem? haha. comic books can be literary gems now? what are other "masterpieces" in the comic book world?

It was on the Time magazine list of top 100 novels or something like that. Only comic on the list, that's why I read it. It's pretty good but I really don't think there was a movie in it so I'm afraid I'm going to be really disappointed when I eventually see the movie.

And 300 was crap so it's got that against it too.

Yeah, and the movie was made by the same guys who made Watchmen.

Sin City and Spirit were also graphic novels. I haven't seen Spirit but judging by the commercials and Sin City, Frank Miller does a better job of adapting the comic to the big screen.

Hell Boy, also, I believe was a graphic novel. Popular thing, these days, to adapt them into movies.

I thought Sin City was great. 300 wasn't all that good, but still nice visual candy with all the CGI and cinematography.

The graphic novel is fucking amazing, so I'm going to have to see this movie. At least it's not a let down like Dragonball will be...
