Hoiberg Decides Against Comeback18th March, 2006 - 9:38 amArizona Republic - Fred Hoiberg visited with the Suns but has decided for now that any NBA comeback this season may not be the right move after consulting with various cardiologists.Hoiberg, 33, would have been the first NBA player to play with a pacemaker, installed in June after an aneurysm was discovered. He also had family considerations.http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/396...ainst_comeback/

I really think he should throw in the towel. Trying to play full court, 5 on 5 basketball in the NBA... doesnt seem like a good idea for him. Playing with a pacemaker, i mean come on, hes like trying to get himself hurt worse.

He's probably saved enough money to keep him living a solid life, and has enough experiance to start coaching or be an analyist. As much as I lvoe the way the guy plays, he shouldn't be risking his life over something like basketball

Over his career he's made $8.5 million, maybe he's trying to eek out a little more.

He's a backup situational player, I see no problem in him playing 10-15 minutes occasionally for a team.
