Look here now.... you need to understand I am completely BIASED, and I hate the freaking Lakers. :) You'll have to look elsewhere for an objective opinion.....or stick with what you have deduced from watching the video that I posted so people can draw their own conclusions.

It's understandable why people commit murder. Explaining WHY someone commits murder does not exonerate the murderer.

I notice you are leaving out Ariza glancing at Rudy laying on the ground and then immediately starting to scream to no one in particular. No surprise, though. You are better than anyone at playing the passive-aggressive game to get people riled up, and at a time when Blazer fans are already upset and have a reason to be, it doesn't really seem to be justified on your part.

Very clear. Thanks for reminding me why I've been avoiding posting on here lately.

    Just too fucking stupid.

This is even dumber than your initial post. Watch Ariza's actions after he glances down and sees Rudy on the ground. Farmar runs to Fernandez; Ariza flaps his arms and starts shrieking. Circumstantial evidence, if you will.

I'm glad Rudy's going to be OK. But damn... the hatred meter toward the Lakers shot up another point.

Odom tried to take out Roy last year with a hard foul too.

    FUCK THE LAKERS!!!!

It looked like he was just trying to knock Rudy's arms away to cause him to miss. He was clearly not making a serious play on the ball coming across a guys arms like that, and he knew that corralling him like that would cause him to take a fall. So it was a cheap move, though it wasn't exactly a body check. In most cases, a guy will let the other guy get the dunk rather than laying him out on a wide open play like that.

The worst part was how he reacted...as if he was satisfied that he laid Rudy out, that is very telling. I wish Michael Ruffin would taken one for the team and sent Ariza home with his nose poking out the backside of his head.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Layered and nuanced posts can be difficult for some people if they don't agree with its premise.

Yes, again I am trying to persecute you and those of you with whom I disagree.

It's passive aggressiveness, not just a differing opinion. Good call.

Hmm...understandable in the sense that they are crazy assholes who have no regard for others? Ok, I guess I see your point in regards to Trevor "the bitch" Ariza.

It's an incomplete opinion because you didn't post about the aftermath and Ariza's actions. I imagine that's because it would make you look foolish. This has nothing to do with me being "persecuted"; it has to do with you being laughingly wrong on this being "semi-understandable", and then going even further and saying it was pretty much clean.

So, while it is an opinion, yours isn't reasoned, it isn't based on fact, and it is incomplete because it doesn't include the aftermath. No need to personalize me in your post, Ed. Stand up for your argument and now address Ariza after the foul.

No. Sometimes people are done such serious injury that they feel their only recourse is to kill another human being. Their daughter was raped. Their doctor purposefully botched a surgery. Their favorite Spaniard was fouled unnecessarily roughly by a Laker.

These things explain and make understandable motive without excusing the act.

I just don't think that Ariza was ONLY trying to hurt Rudy. He could have just gone after the legs... run through Fernandez. It would have been less effort for Ariza and it would have almost certainly hurt Rudy a lot more.

Why did he even bother to jump, if he wasn't going for the ball?

Clearly it was not a legal play, and obviously he was trying to fould Rudy HARD. I would bet almost anything that he didn't intend to send him to the hospital and I would bet, too, that he had the ball in his sights when he swung through Rudy's head and caught his wrist.

can we just be happy hes ok... i mean the dude is questionable for wed. if that was oden, his career would be over. if we lost rudy for a while... we would be in serious trouble. hes our rookie of teh year... not the bust we like to call our future center.

    we just beat the lakers

how is anyone fighting about dumb shit?

Ed. O, usually a favorite mod of mine, today, -1 for assuming his green colored name makes his opinion and insults welcome amidst fans in a very emotional thread.

No offense, but you are stirring a bee hive, and I think you should step out for a bit out of respect for your own position.

I agree with you, but you really need to shut the fuck up. Ed's posting circles around you. You're four posts from claiming there's a conspiracy of moderators that lets people abuse you... again.

Ariza fouled Rudy. Whether that final 1/10th of a second where he drew his arm down to throw Rudy way off balance was intentional or gravity, we'll never know. But you're right, he acted like a complete douchebag afterwards. He deserves a suspension for that behavior alone. If he's truly remorseless, he's a fucking sociopath. I hate very few players in the league, but I now hate Ariza.

Take it from a guy who used to hate Ed, but now sees his wisdom: just fucking stop.

God, you lost hope really early. The final score was actually 111 to 94...and it was a lot worse than that.

Good post. Some people here need to chill. Their hate of LA runs so deep that now they are seeing conspiracies everywhere.....like Ariza was trying to intentionally hospitalize Rudy...puhhhlease.

You're right. Ariza's too stupid to think that far ahead.
