Is Rajon Rondo's absence a bigger blow to the Celtics than Kevin Garnett's?

Now that I think about it I would have to say yes. KG is obviously a better talent than Rondo but Rondo sets everything up. You can plug in Powe for KG and get half the results. You take out Rondo and everybodys stats will go down.

Sorta like Nash and Amare back in Nash's MVP days. Nash was the MVP even though Amare was the obvious better talent. Rondo is the glue guy

Rondo is more important because we have bigs that can step in for KG and do an adequate job. Rondo is a perfect fit for the players around him. His strengths tie in perfectly to the role and his weaknesses don't hurt the team much.

Well Diaw stepped in for them well, he kind of reminds me of Odom in the sense that he gets motivated more as a starter.

hmmm.. I don't think individual absences matter much.. like if rondo is out or garnett is out..

But if both are out, it obviously makes a big difference. I guess that's what happens when 2 of your team's top 5 players are out right?

meh I don't think he is more important at all. We haven't had a long stretch of KG in and Rondo out to disprove it though.
Rondo and KG and Davis and Tony Allen and Scal out.. yeah the team suffers a bit ;)

I think he is the bigger loss. Just look at the loss columns. Rondos has less losses than KG. Although, if I was building a team, I'd still start with KG.
