Exactly.. Stu Lantz putting the onus on Rudy for it, and blaming him for the whole ordeal. What a load of crap.

Why do people let Mixum get to them? I love him. He's hilarious. He has a specific point of view and sticks to it. It's pure entertainment for me.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
My roommate in college was a diehard Lakers fan, and even he agreed that Stu Lantz was an insane homer. But that's hometown announcers for you. Vin Sculley is a great LA announcer, though, as was Chick Hearn, when he was still around.

chick hearn would fuck up EVERYONE's names...shit, even the team names. Like the supersonics he would call the superheros or some crazy shit like that. he would call Shaq as "worthy" or other stuff.

Near the end, his performance dropped off some, though you're exaggerating quite a bit. ;)

I'm doing it in retaliation to the LG.net thread on how Ricey sucks.

One more vote for a no quote policy towards Mixum.

Practice video from OLive, probably the best part is in the middle and B. Roy having predicted before the game in a pregame chat with LaMarcus that the Lakers would try some hard foul eventually, and then Nate's reaction to being told that Ariza wouldn't be suspended. Priceless.

Yeah.. Understandable, just weird that his first reaction was "well, he put himself in that situation and stuff like that happens" rather than "I hope he's OK". I enjoyed listening to Chick Hearn though, he was great even in his late years.

A little bit OT - but this is actually part of the fun, imho. The best Formula 1 commentator was Murray Walker and his quotes are legendary:
