Not true. If you present yourself as a "neutral" fan instead of a huge homer of a different team, or at least appear neutral, then you can post where ever you like. The problem is when we get people who say I wish Roy would have been the guy who got hurt, Rudy flopped like Paul Pierce, etc. Not only do you look like a douchebag when you say that, but you also lose all credibility and you come across as a troll.
I don't feel that way as well. I like productive conversation (although I have been known to get snarky myself when I feel like I'm being insulted/purposefully misunderstood) and like outsiders views as long as they're respectful and not a post like "lolololololol brandon roy sucks lolololol portland never gonna win anything lolololol" or something along those lines. You should just put people intentionally trying to start stuff on ignore. I have about six or seven people on ignore here and on RealGM I have at least 20 people. I find it is much less stressful and far more fun that way.
About my thread Lakers being Suspended All I wanted to point out that the lakers recently have been in the press lately about being suspended. Then it became personal attacks on each persons ethics on their team and trash talking. Can we figure out why the Lakers keep on being in the news for flagrant fouls? I merely posted the thread (http://www.sportstwo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137476) about incidents on Lakers being in trouble not personal attacks. Can all moderators and other fans grow up a little and stop having threads closed/locked.
I used to post all over the site on BBB/BBF. I would do it here except my time is more limited these days. Every forum one keeps active in is a huge time sink. Just keeping active in this forum takes a lot of time, pretty much all the time I spend on the net in a day.
Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended Ideally. Of course, was this the ideal moment for it? We have tensions running rather high between Blazers and Lakers fans, yesterday and today. Tomorrow, I can clean that thread up and re-open it, if another moderators doesn't do it first. Today, I'm a little beat from having to deal with flare-ups.
Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended Does anyone have educated worthwhile analysis on the Lakers behavior on drawing these types of fouls. I'm getting tired of the team bashing. Why can't the Lakers organization take in the fact that their players are being viewed by the NBA for their actions and being suspended. Use your brains peeps and stop bashing one another like HS teenagers. Use your noogin.
Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended I moved your thread into this one, since it seemed to be about talking reasonably and such. Hope you don't mind. As I said, I'll re-open your original thread, so your issue can be discussed there.
I'm actually with JE on this one, because I've rarely had pleasant experiences when I come in here. It seems whenever I voice an anti-Blazer opinion, I get jumped on and attacked until I leave. It's why I rarely step foot in this forum. I'd love to be able to join in on the conversations and debates here, but I constantly feel like my opinion is not wanted at all based on my past experiences.
Thank you Minstrel. At least you have tried some ethical understanding to my statement instead of reaching for the ball sack. I don't care which thread is opened. I truly tried to state the fact the Lakers were in the news in the past few years and this type of behavior keeps on coming and theres no explanation why the Lakers aren't trying to condone or clean up this act. Would Laker fans really want their team to keep on doing this, and cause some fights in the stands, causing some 65 year old Vietnam vet to get hurt in the stands because a Laker player fights off the bench? This is a serious subject. We all want a clean game right?
Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended So you can conclude a "type of behavior" from a sample of 4 fouls?
You're missing the point obviously but this site already went through this with Nets fans. When a search result from s2 shows up in a google search, they click on it and it'll go to the Blazer forum rather than S2's Bobcat, why would a Bobcats' fan be enthused to join a site if he sees a Blazer forum logo on top the thread? And No, I don't want to bring more posters here b/c I'm a mod, I want the site to be active. My old site, JBB, got merged with S2 and our whole forum was active. It was like a community of everyone, not just 1 forum, and it made the whole experience of posting fun. It gave you a perspective of everyone's view, but ever since we've come here, everyone is biased/stuck up and only care about their own forum rather than the whole site. So sorry for trying to help the site more enjoyable for everyone. Thanks for trying it out, the effort is appreciated.
wow, that's clever. and if you are of the opinion that trolling laker moderators caused the problems at bbf, you're delusional.
I am not antagonizing them when I am on the Portland board. If I was on their board I would be antagonizing them. Here I am not trolling when I state that I hate everything to do with the Lakers. EVERYTHING! I will be respectful if I go to their board, but I stay here. Most of us really dislike the Lakers and their arrogant fans. Some here are not as fervent as I am. But I am in my community, not theirs. I am certain they dislike us on their board as well, and I do not comment on that as I stay out of there. It works quite well for me this way. And welcome to the community.
Don't be a dick, don't act like a Laker homer (or any other team for that matter), and be reasonable. You do those and I promise I will have no beef with you...
