Larry Hughes in my opinion has the potential to be a good player with the right coach, and I dont even like the knicks. Who cares about Danilo, Larry Hughes for president!!!!! Last week alone he was ranked 24 overall 51% FG 80% FT 9-3PT's 67-PT's 10REB 11AST 9STL 6TO Bravo.....
Larry Hughes is the epitome of a "hate him or love him" type of player. When he's making his ill-advised shots you love him. When he's missing (and missing badly) his ill-advised shots you hate him. At least his defense has been pretty good so far.
Look here y'all, Larry Hughes has had good coaches throughout his career. His problem is pure laziness. He still has the talent to be a good player, but remember the Cleveland disaster? He put forth some effort in Washington, became a good defensive player with a decent offensive game, and then? He stops trying, and he sucked. There are nights when Hughes looks good, but it's simply him putting some effort into playing the game. He plays hard only when he feels like it, which is the making of a sorry ass player, IMO. You have another one in NYC too, named Eddy Curry, who is actually worse than Hughes in the laziness department.
He did have some rough times in Cleveland. He was always injured and a lot of people in his family were dying, if I'm not mistaken. I do remember his younger brother dying.
