Hey man I'm just finishing watching Juventus - Chelsea its 2-2 right now, 85th minute. (replay on espn classics) I watched Liverpool destroy Real Madrid 4-0 earlier. And in other news Bayern beat the crap out of Sporting 7-1. (12-1 aggr) lmao
yes, lets destroy the stadium in celebration... Only reason soccer is so popular in the world is because the poorest people in the world can still find some crappy ball and set up to things and goal posts. Its loved cause everybody can play it, not for being a good game
Ouch that's harsh. The World Cup is always entertaining to me though. I think countries playing against each other is a bit more exciting than clubs. The quality is high and it only occurs every 4 years.

I'm not even going to argue about this. It just goes to show how narrow-minded Americans can be. Good job living up to the stereotype.
Football (soccer) is by far the best sport on earth, a sport where action is non-stop and a sport where it's not easy to play (and win). Using only feet and the head at times (except maradona), it doesn't get any better than that. And of course Americans don't like soccer because they get to watch MLS, which is one of the worst leagues when it is compared to the European ones.
True, we just feel very isolated I guess. Also the NFL and NBA have taken a life of it's own over here that the rest of the world doesn't completely get to see either. I think the NBA would be the overall most popular sport if it was around earlier though, just look what the Dream Team did for Basketball and how popular it is in Europe now. I like soccer regardless, just not the MLS.
You seem to take it as though I am insulting American fans. If that were the case, I would of posted this in the Off-Topic forum. I was obviously talking about fans from all the other football-playing nations such as England, France, and Spain, etc. because I believe the English fans are not as good as these Greek ones.
Thanks for the unnecessary shot there. Actually Americans don't have the same fanaticism with soccer because we were raised on other sports, unlike Europeans.
It wasn't a shot agoo, don't get me wrong I kind of follow MLS but the quality is so bad when it is compared to Europe for example. I bet that's the main reason why Americans don't like soccer. I'm sure if they got to watch EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Il Calcio, day in and day out they would love the sport.
