Im not as confident as you are about that. Yes I think the Lakers would win but it would be far from a pushover. Six game minimum IMO
I wouldn't give them a lock for six Games Rizzle, the Lakers get up for big games usually. We play down to garbage.
POR just has the "it" factor with us. POR isnt garbage, they are above average but certainly not top level. Of those types of teams POR BY FAR gives us the worst problems. ...Bobcats dont count because they suck
In the playoffs I question their experience. Bobcats are almost in the playoffs, that's how much the East sucks.
Well of course but that doesnt mean they cant. Get a team with above average talent pissed off at you like no other...not good. If the Lakers just acted like a series against them was like the finals then I wouldnt be worried but they wont. POR hates the Lakers more than Celtics fans, it is their everything if they could knock off the Lakers
Too late though Rizzle, after this much trash talk I think LA will be almost as motivated against them in the playoffs as if they were facing Boston (I'm not even predicting a matchup though). They tugged on our cape already.
Honestly, every year for the past 4 years after we've won the first game of the two at home, I've thought the Lakers would come in fired up and get a win in the second game. Every time, they have come in fired up, but the Blazers have been more so, and have won. The only conclusion that I can come to is that Fired Up Blazers at home > Fired up Lakers on the road
We've only been an elite basketball team the last two years, there's not enough of a body of work to make a conclusive case. But your team's road record and the playoffs being a different animal make me unafraid this season. Pau Gasol has only played in two Portland road games during his LA tenure.
