I'm not a huge Gray fan, but he's been pretty much regulated to Vinny's dog house , but there are times when you can use his big, hard to move, ogreish style to your advantage. Like when you're playing giant centers ala' Ming or Howard (hint, hint).
Or Rose, or Tyrus, or Noah, or Salmons, or Hinrich, or Deng, or Miller... It does give you an idea of how bad BG's defense is when he is getting torched by C. Lee and Rafer Alston. You can add Lee to the list of guys outscoring and outplaying BG in games in the last month or so...
I was just about to say this. I'm pretty sure this is what happens when the entire team can't make shots.
That's Linton Johnson I think. Do the bulls have any more players dressed when TT fouls out, or do they go back to Noah?
He only played 27 minutes, and only about 15 of them were meaningful. And he outscored BG by double digits...
So... I take it you guys are pretty happy tonight? Me, I think this is strangely appropriate. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zDiR7UxI8Ow&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zDiR7UxI8Ow&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
From what I watched (which was the first half), Gordon's defense was fine. He just couldn't hit a shot. I think this is one of those games you have to just write off. Everyone but Salmons and Noah sucked. I doubt Gordon will have any game similar to this for the rest of the year and I doubt the Bulls play this bad again, with the exception of the Boston/Lakers games coming up.
I can see that our squad played absolutely wonderful today. Like I said in an earlier post...their is no Bull that can step up and be helpful if he is not scoring well. If we had atleast one player who could set OTHER players up for easy baskets. If we had atleast one player who could cause dismay in the opponents offensive flow (instead of destroying our own offensive flow all of the time). If we had that one player who could get a couple of steals when we really needed it to change the momentum shift to give us a shot at winning the game. I repeat...we do not have ANY player that has that ability to get others more motivated and involved. We could use 2 or 3 players that have the ability to help without having to score themselves all the time.
We might have that player (Chris Bosh/Amare Stoudemire) as soon as draft night. Maybe by next trade deadline. I think with the economy the way it is, as long as JR is willing to spend (and he should be, the Bulls won't be hurting financially), then we can make away with bandits and greatly improve our team. Also, we need to fire Vinny, so we can properly develop Rose.
Vinny's going to try a night of beer pong on March the 27th. Then he will promptly be fired when the team doesn't show up for their morning game against Indiana.
