I don't think we've ever actually seen Batum on Dirk and would like to see that happen. Outlaw did okay in little stretches last game but like it was said he is.. not the best defensive player. There is a divided section on the Blazers forum about the values of Outlaw and if his pros on offense (when he is on) comes up for his short-comings elsewhere due to a general lack of BBIQ (most important things unless he really puts his mind to it). Unfortunately at this time we have no other option so instead of the 15-20 minutes Outlaw should have he is getting closer to 30 on a lot of nights.

Again I'd like to see Batum on Dirk because he is wiry but I think he may have better success due to his better defensive instincts.

Anyways Rudy is definitely out for this game, Bayless is in, and Oden is out (but coming back soon hopefully!!). I think only Howard is out for the Mavs. It should be a close game and normally I'd be okay with that as Portland is good in close games except Carlisle has out-coached Nate twice this year and I am afraid about that tonight. Hopefully we have a good party in here and a long-lost Mavs fans comes out of the woodwork to join us.

 

You'll probably be able to find a link at the beginning of the game from a Blazer fan (especially if Maris comes over here) in either game threads. It may not be the best quality and you'll probably get the Mikes (I am so sorry) but it'll work I think.

Dallas lineup will be Kidd/Barrea/Wright/Dirk/Dampier. Portland the usual Blake/Roy/Batum/LMA/Przybilla. Man that backcourt for Dallas kinda scares me just due to the hustle of Barrea alone - from a Blazer perspective I hope Blake gets down and dirty in the paint for rebounds like he did against the Lakers. Please to not be winning Dallas I don't want to be 8th seed.
