That's amazing. I played in other bands with guys from both groups. God, I used to play in a band with Courtney Taylor (no, it wasn't "Beauty Stab"). What a first class wanker. He was also a shitty drummer, so it's a good thing he became a front man. Andy Loomis, however, was a terrific guy and a first-class musician. I dug Dial Memphis and a trio from Reed College whose name I'm forgetting. They did an amazing medley where they morphed a bunch of songs including "In The Mood" and "Rhinestone Cowboy". edit: That second band may have been called "Slack".
"Beauty Stab" BTW Doynt u ushually hav tu be a waynker tu be a front mayn? I tynk thats howe et werks.... Dead moon was fucking magic btw. Loomis -----> Gud pozt. Thayks!
My favorite Portland band of ALL TIME!
I got in to their first album a little, then saw them live, and honestly, they're just boring indie crap. I find more and more that I don't like the Portland scene anymore. Sniveling nerdy rock.
For the record, I hate the way you type out your words, but that's the point, right? Originally they were fom Eugene, but have claimed Portland as their hometown for over a decade.
