BTW, I sat next to Gina Grant - Brian's wife - and her sister once at a game in Sacramento (she's from there and was a former Kings dancer). She was almost 9 months pregnant and looked great. No woman should look that good when she's that pregnant! She was friendly, also. My friend who used to work at the Rose Garden in the mid 90s said her faves were Dottie Schoneley, who like Bill was as courteous and respectful to the janitor as she was to the GM, Jerome Kersey's girlfriend (can't remember her name) and Bev Grant (Harvey's wife). Many of the wives treated staff like furniture, but those 3 were always polite, said good evening, etc. So, Lamar Odom's SO is a Blazers fan???

Isn't this whole thread in a way judging, like the poster who said Greg could do better, and hot women don't go for rocket scientists? Judgmental? I said I find it gross. Not sure how that is judging others. A body type that does not exist in nature is unpleasant to me. And I really don't see the appeal of what is so apparently fake. I think beerboy is a tad quick to take offense.
I don't think she's being judgemental. As a straight female I had the same reaction to the pic of Joel's wife. It was really refreshing to see "natural" beauty. I'll try and explain it a different way. I looked at the OT thread about bodacious babes, it's all in good fun, I'm not protesting it or calling you all chauvinists because most of you really seem to be good guys. However, someone eventually started posting pics of bodacious babes who could cook and Gia de Laurentiis was one of them. One of the comments made was that she was hot but her boobs were saggy. My first (albeit sarcastic) thought was, "Yeah, poor thing was cursed with real ones. Fortunately she can get those eye sores cut off and buy fake ones that will never be affected by gravity or pregnancy." I want to be perfectly clear... skinny woman with big boobs don't grow in nature... it just doesn't happen. When the standard of beauty is set so that a woman can't be considered hot unless they go under anesthesia (which always carries a risk of complications), cut off a body part, and insert man made materials it's really sad. Some women's bodies kind of reject them (they form a lot of hard painful scar tissue around them) and doctor's don't really know why. I'm not saying that I'm against cosmetic surgery (if that's what the person feels they need - go for it) but I don't feel like I should have to go under the knife to be considered attractive. Anyway, to each his own, just my opinion.
I agree regarding Joel's wife, she's a "natural" beauty... as is Dan Dickau's and Steve Blake's wife. I also agree that women DONT need to go under the knife to be considered attractive. But I'm not going to bash on the women that choose to do so and especially the women who have had a few kids and want a little boob lift to fix the sag. I'd rep ya but it says I gotta spread the love before I can rep you again.
Ah, but a lift after a few kids is not the same as watermelon sized implants on a skeleton. I agree with most of what Spud said (she's straight, BTW, being a lesbian has nothing to do with it and is just baiting IMO) and I think she made clear the difference. Large breasts are not desired by many men who post, only large fake ones. At any rate, the Blazers had a tough loss, my cat Brandon did not come home, the company where I work was sold and right now my bullshit tolerance is pretty damn low.
I agree. My first thought when I saw the photos of her posted was "Mary Ann" - and I mean that as a compliment. She definitely has that wholesome midwest girl natural beauty - and she's smiling, a real smile, not a forced one, in both of those photos. Bet she makes a great coconut cream pie, too. Joel's a good guy and they seem genuinely happy together. Good for them. BNM
Coconut cream? Too midwest for that - she's a basic apple, peach, cherry pie type of gal. Somehow Joel eating coconut cream is hard to picture, but I can see him tucking into a fruit pie with a big scoop of ice cream on top.
I haven't read all the posts except a couple at the end. I love to look at beautiful women just like most men but out of all the woman pictures posted Joel's wife would be my favorite. I know most you guys probably think I'm crazy. She just has that natural beautiful smile and natural looks. I'm always attracted to woman that are just a little heavy (or normal to me) not skinny with fake boobs. I know I'm being judgmental but she just looks like a beautiful sweet woman an Joel is very lucky IMO.
I wouldn't infer much about her character from her natural looks, but I also liked the looks of Joel's wife the best. The rest of the women look too airbrushed (even in pictures not produced for magazine glossies) to be particularly sexual or attractive. It's like some person's idea of sculpted art in the flesh, rather than a real person. Though, there were some exceptions even apart from Joel's wife, who looked like natural, pretty women. Joel's wife just caught my eye the most.
Blazer fans ROCK, you guys are awesome. And Crandc, my girl, I get exactly what you're saying and it creeps me out too. These women have risked their lives to make themselves look like Jessica Rabbit. They aren't women, they're caricatures of women. And the worst part is that it's so common it's become the norm. It's "Stepford Wives" creepy.
