If We Played Dallas In The Playoffs...

Would it make sense to put Batum on Nowitzki at times? I think Nicolas' long arms, and pesky defense, could be a factor.

 

While it is a good thought, IMO it is much more important that Portland attacks the rim rather than shoot outside jumpers all night that will determine if they will be able to return to winning form against Dallas.

I think Aldridge play superb defense last night on Dirk, but Dirk was hitting some ridiculous shots. I can't imagine Batum doing any better than Aldridge at guarding Dirk.

I do think maybe we should switch Batum onto Terry instead of Kidd though. Kidd is likely to pass the ball no matter who is guarding him, and Terry is more likely to shoot the ball no matter who is guarding him. I think Nic would be more disruptive for the Mavs if he shadowed Terry.
