Give us LA in the second round. That'd be great, and would mean we'd win a first-round series. Anything more than that would be gravy for this team, and I bet we could take the Lakers to six games. Of course, we'd have to hear it from Laker fans again... but it'd be some good experience for our guys.
Normally, I'd LOVE to play the Lakers? But, invariably, over the years, they've been our biggest playoff nemesis. Times are a-changin', though, right?
Yeah, I agree. Winning a first round series and then playing the Lakers tough in the second round would be a great, great result for this season, despite the very likely loss to LA, IMO. Get playoff experience winning a series and going through a battle with a top team.
The problem with facing the L*kers in the playoffs is that we'd mess with Stern's script if we won the series. Ergo, it would be 8 on 5.
Yeah, Stern and his dirty love for the l*kers.. <object style='width:470px;height:406px;' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' data='http://video.web.de/movie/5270206'> <param name='movie' value='http://video.web.de/movie/5270206' /> <param name='AllowFullscreen' value='true' /> </object><br/><a href='http://video.web.de/watch/5270206' title='Frank Zappa - Dirty Love - WEB.DE Video'>Frank Zappa - Dirty Love - WEB.DE Video</a>
A few years ago, NBA commissioner David Stern was asked to name his dream championship match-up. He replied without hesitation, "Lakers vs. Lakers."
